Our History He and I Construction, Inc. originated from the aspirations of Al Alfaro and his wife Lucille in March of 1995. After working for a construction company from the late 1980's through the early 1990's, Al decided to enter the construction business with the help of his wife Lucille. He and I Construction, Inc. started as a company specializing in refurbishing and building homes, and hardwood floor installation. The central office and storage was located at the Alfaro's home, and based out of the garage. As the company developed and became incorporated in 1998, it began to take on the responsibility of a general contractor, growing into a company specializing in design/build, maintenance and renovation contracting. Now, He and I Construction offers general construction services to the Southwest Region of the United States, while looking to expand in additional regions. Our Mission •To consistently provide top notch service over the years •Continuing training and education to upgrade our quality of service for all our customers •By utilizing the continuous support from our community, the word of our excellent services will freely flow throughout the Southwest Region. Our Staff He and I Construction, Inc. is a family-owned and operated business with approximately ten employees, whom are directly related to the company owner. Plaster Repair questions, answered by experts

Smaller is better when patching holes with spackle. Any holes wider than four to six inches in diameter tend to be too wide to repair with spackle alone. You'll likely want to patch bigger holes with a drywall panel. 

Even holes measuring up to 6 inches may be challenging to fill with spackle alone. For best results, purchase a wall repair patch made from wire mesh. Cut the patch to fit over the hole, then use the spackle to hold it in place. Apply the spackle over the patch as you would for a smaller hole.

Damp plaster does dry out, although the drying time depends on several factors, including the type of plaster, the surrounding temperature, moisture content, and the extent of the dampness. Sometimes, it can take weeks or months for wall plaster to dry naturally.

It depends on the construction of your wall. Most handypeople can fix small holes in drywall. If your wall is plaster or brick, more significant damage may require a drywall contractor or a mason. Hiring a handyperson costs less than a more specialized type of contractor, but they’re not trained in all types of wall repairs.

If your premixed drywall mud is dried out or has begun to set in the bucket, you may be able to revive it by adding warm water and stirring. However, the first and most important step is to scrape off any hard, dried bits of drywall that may have accumulated toward the top of the container and throw them away because they will not easily reconstitute back into the drywall mud mix.

Common causes include water leaks, settling, and impact. Address underlying issues to prevent recurring damage.
