We feel it's the very best blow-in insulation available anywhere in the world, and we're fully confident you will too... Experience the MILEX™ difference!

"Overall this was a great experience with the company. The sales rep was very helpful and responsive. She worked with me on getting a quote remotely as I was outside their regular service area. The install team was great. They worked quick and were very professional. They also did great explaining what they were going to do as well as cleaning up afterwards. Insulation was installed evenly with no gaps or missed spots. They sectioned off areas that needed it and take pride in their work. The material itself is very unique, light, fluffy, and no dust like with cellulose. It is very easy to move if you need access under it and smells vaguely like breakfast cereal. The effect on how much my heater and AC have needed to run was immediately noticeable. I highly recommend it especially if you have someone in the home with allergies to things like dust."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Spreading tin foil over your windows works similarly to radiant barrier insulation, but not as well. It will reflect some of the sunlight that would otherwise come through the glass and warm up the inside of your home, so it might help a little to keep your home cool in the summer. However, the appearance isn’t preferable to blinds or drapes that can offer the same benefits. You might also consider tinting your windows instead, which is a more aesthetically pleasing change that can still block a good portion of the solar heat coming through your windows.

Your house may be cold even if the heat is on because of bad insulation, gaps in doors, small holes pulling hot air from the home, or excess humidity. The heater itself might be malfunctioning. For this problem, you’d need to talk to an HVAC pro. If you have a gas heating system (most do) this should be considered an urgent job as natural gas could be leaking in your home.

Yes, brick houses are better insulated, because the bricks slow down the passage of air from the outside to the inside and vice-versa. This helps to stabilize the internal temperature of the home. When combined with proper residential insulation, brick houses are more efficient and better insulated than other types.

Yes! Outdoor faucet covers work by enclosing the faucet with a thick, insulating material that will keep the faucet warmer than outdoor temperatures. They need to be sealed tightly against the house to work properly, though, so be sure to tighten the rubber strap or drawstring on the insulation cover to best protect your faucets.

Garage doors that are not insulated can be a major source of heat loss. That’s why it’s essential to winterize your garage door with insulation and weather stripping to prevent heat loss and keep it warm more easily. Consult a local garage door installer if you need help determining the cause of your garage losing heat.
