"LawnMark did an awesome job on our concrete driveway replacement and new stamped patio in the back yard. Excellent service. They also do landscaping and removed a tree before installing concrete to avoid future root issues"

"Cemex constructed a new driveway, front porch, and sideway along the side of my house. Service and price were excellent. Service was conducted on time and their crews were professional at all times. Owner provided input throughout the project and was flexible on last minute changes. I strongly recommend this company to others that desire revamping old driveways or desiring new concrete and brick projects"

"Great!! This company does great work and they are easy to deal with. There was a few month backlog and my job was done in early October. The owner Dan is a working manager/owner. He is on the job the entire time making sure everything is done correctly. The crew had the old driveway removed, new forms installed and ready to pour in less than two days. They poured the new driveway in less than a half a day and it looks awesome. Most important was Dan's concern about drainage and how he made sure the new driveway was sloped so it would not flood my detached garage. None of the other contractors considered this important issue."

Customers say: Quality work

"Had them put a driveway in and had the best experience. The owner will tell you what he thinks is best for you even if it isn't with him. He is honest and reasonable on the prices. You will want him to work with you. If I need any future concrete work, I will be calling him. I couldn't be happier with the outcome."

"Chris was excellent! I highly recommend. We had a problem with our front door, literally for years. It continued to get worse and worse until it became a real problem. Chris and I diagnosed the problem, and Chris fixed it beautifully. It is such a pleasure to have our door work as it did when it was installed. He was prompt and went above and beyond. I will definbitely utilize Chris in the future"

"Mark Wheeler was the first of four companies to respond to our quote request and also provided the best pricing. While the others gave us start dates of a month to two months out, Wheeler and Son offered a start-time within a week or two. The crew arrived promptly on each day of the 3 day installation; as well as the fourth day for cleanup. The first day involved marking out the pattern for the driveway and, after getting the approval from us, excavating the old asphalt and additional area. On the second and third day the forms were set up, the base material was laid, and the concrete poured and finished. The fourth day is when the forms were removed and topsoil was replaced along the edges. We were impressed with the crew's efficiency, quality, and professionalism. Everyone knew what they were to do and the tasks for each stage proceeded like clockwork. We were more than satisfied with the results and would recommend Mark and the crew highly."

"After several quotes and researching companies online, I chose to hire Eli and his crew for my driveway project, adding onto an existing driveway. Eli was easy to work with, responded to my calls promptly, and answered all my questions thoroughly. Pricing was competitive and job was completed the next day of hiring them. Driveway looks beautiful! Would recommend!"

"I hired Juan to do a firepit in my back yard. It was muddy and a bit on a slope. They came in evened things out put down the patio and fire pit and came back with dirt to fix the ares that were damaged by the tires from wheel barrels, ect. Very happy with the end product, Wish I had made it a little bigger. Would hire again!"

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

In most cases, you don’t need a permit to repave your driveway, although some exceptions exist. If you’re widening your driveway and plan on widening the apron as well, you’ll usually need a permit from the Department of Transportation in your area. This permit costs between $50 and $300 in most cases. Most municipalities will also require a certified and insured contractor do the work relating to the apron and curb cut. You can contact your building department or ask your paving company if you need a permit. Your driveway professional will usually pull the permit for you.

When asphalt cures, it typically changes from a very dark black hue to a lighter, more matte gray color. Cured asphalt also won’t be tacky or sticky to the touch or emit any odors from the asphalt mix. Additionally, the surface of fully cured asphalt won’t deform under any pressure.

Professionals restore the surface to a fresh, attractive finish by applying a new, even sealant layer.

Whether it's worth it to install a heated driveway depends on how often you'll use it, your lifestyle, and your budget. If you live in a mild climate with little snowfall, then installing a built-in heated driveway system may not be worth it. If you live in a region that experiences mild snowfall, then a portable mat could work better. However, if you live in a region with heavy snowfall, it makes sense to invest in a built-in heated driveway.

Your driveway contractor will probably recommend that you avoid driving on your new millings driveway for up to a week. Keeping pressure off the freshy applied millings will help the driveway to bind together. While the sun is helpful for binding millings, hotter weather can actually make the curing process take longer.
