"Mrs. K got upset because I told her husband that I didn't want to speak to her alone about these matters because instead of trying to understand the process, she called me names and just made things up. This angered her. My 5-star customers on this list know that it is not true that I scam people by taking a 50% down payment because over 80% of my reviews didn't put down a payment, they gladly paid me in full at the end. My Attorney put the requirement on my contracts to protect me, and against his better judgment, I use discretion when it comes to enforcing it. This was the one job that definitely required a down payment because of its size and the main fact that they asked me to put them on a 1-year payment plan in order for them to afford all the work we were doing for them. We are 95% ready to complete this job. We finished jack-hammering out sidewalks that rap around the front of the house last month, and before going on vacation we put in your free drainage system. We hauled in 20+ tons of stone, and grading, forming and compaction are all completed, all that is needed is for us to replace the 8" culvert pipe I installed with a 12" pipe per the Township representative. I purchased the pipe the same day I spoke with him. I did take two vacations while working on this job, so I voluntarily gave a discount and a free drainage system a total value of $1,000. Mrs. K would be the person that is lying (the culvert pipe exists) as her husband texted me and said "I know you did the work my wife didn't understand what she was looking at or what it was called. The Township also saw it this is why they asked me to install a 12" pipe instead of the 8" pipe. It's as simple as that: no scam; the pipe exists. Will she admit this work exists and take the lie down or does she want to keep making things up to keep misleading the reviewers? As for the sub-contractor I terminated this service when he arrived an hour late to pour your job was agitated, and requested that Mr. K let him pour the driveway instead of me. You speak of a scammer this person has had 3 different phone numbers in 1 month and the last number he gave me is disconnected. I tried to reach him the day of your pour and couldn't. Which cost me money. And this is the person you are listening to. All of my customers have my direct cell phone number I have had for over 20 years. Again in most cities concrete work requires per-pour inspections and will not allow you to pour, If not set-up properly. It's best to stop making up things, you have no knowledge of. In closing, I would like to point out a few things that separate us from scammers! 1. I admit my delay and discounted your job. 2. Interest-free payment plans. 3. This job two loads of concrete are paid for. 4. I have no reason or need to lie. 5. My customer has my direct cell phone number which I have had for over 20 years, and I answer. 6. License and bonded for my customer protection if I don't complete the job my insurance company will. 7. 2 million dollar certificate of Liability Insurance. 8. And Workmancomp. Again my 5-star customers where is the scam? It sounds more like I am set-up for the scam, I sent a text message to Mrs. K, saying that your husband will be making the payments for 1 year and you texted back LOL. So the question now is will I get paid at the end? So I MUST BE THE DUMBEST SCAMMER IN THE WORLD! To my five-star customer, I will upload pictures so you can see the truth for yourself."
"{I must ask my 5-star customers to help me out on this one.} Leon and I had a clear & concise agreement... The customer has been trying to complete this job for over 2.5 years before I started helping him with many problems. Two of his previous contractors said they owed money and now he owe me. This customer agreed to pay me in three draws, he paid the first one and did not pay the second draw. He texted me and said he would have my check the following day. When that day came he said he changed his mind and wanted me to do more added work. I refused to work anymore without getting paid. Approximately 70% of the concrete work was completed and approved by the building inspector at that point. Also at that point in my contract, I excavated out the muddy base and installed 8" of #304 stone base throughout the entire lot, ready for asphalt. This customer said the work was excellent and he was very pleased. This 1-star review is strange in many ways, first, we texted each other over 50 times along with many phone calls, and he never told me that he was unhappy with my work. Secondly, I drove by the job site and this customer had my finishers completing the concrete work I had formed up. So you see, if I didn't know what I was doing why would he hire the same workers I used? And why did he use my formed-up work to pour in, if it was wrong? This customer asked to buy my company and said he wanted to be in the business. He also made the statement that there are a lot of people jealous of me. The bottom line, he never said to me that he was not pleased with my work, in fact, he insisted that I continue on without getting paid. This doesn't sound like an unhappy customer...I guess I will see him in court because this is not how a contractual agreement is handled. So what do you think?"
