They did excellent work at my house stamped patio walkway and driveway. Fast clean and efficient. Can't wait to do more work with them Dan is super responsive.

8 weeks and I have some chunks at the seams. Called and texted pictures. Should be a simple repair but so far refuses to come and fix these areas. Concrete stained very badly. Tire tracks. I finally had to seal it to try to protect it and keep this from getting worse. My neighbor had a new driveway this year and his hasn't stained.

Dan and his crew installed a new parking lot for a 4 suite apartment building that I own. The final lot was a very professional job! The price quote was very fair, in comparison to other quotes! I was very pleased with Dan and his work from the beginning. He went out of his way to make sure that this 2-year project was a success. The city demands, with all of their building requirements were the hold-up, not Dan. I would use this company again in a heartbeat! In fact, I had Dan replace 4 new sidewalk blocks for my personal home, in addition to the parking lot. Very pleased with both jobs. I highly recommend this company!

Hot Tub Slab

Great!! This company does great work and they are easy to deal with. There was a few month backlog and my job was done in early October. The owner Dan is a working manager/owner. He is on the job the entire time making sure everything is done correctly. The crew had the old driveway removed, new forms installed and ready to pour in less than two days. They poured the new driveway in less than a half a day and it looks awesome. Most important was Dan's concern about drainage and how he made sure the new driveway was sloped so it would not flood my detached garage. None of the other contractors considered this important issue.

We heard from Dan through an inquiry we made with Home Advisor. He responded quickly and came to talk about our patio at the time we set up. We had a general time when the job would start and it ended up starting sooner than we'd anticipated, in August, and we were delighted. We were also surprised & impressed that he had not cashed our deposit check and learned his policy is not to do that until work has begun. He came when promised with professionals who knew what to do and worked well together. Dig happened one day, then another day came to pour, stamp and color the patio. Dan came by two more times, first to seal the patio and then to do the saw cuts. We are so happy to have a beautiful new patio that complements our back yard living area. Highly recommend Dan and his team for any of your hardscaping work.

Dan and the crew did an excellent job of removing the old concrete and some unexpected decades old tree roots. Dan also helped out on installing the electrical conduit for power to the detached under the extended patio section before the electrician was available. Dan was working as hard as the crew and had a detailed plan on on the grade to a new sewer location. Very pleased with Specialized Concrete's work and we received numerous compliments from neighbors and those walking by the house.

We were concerned about protecting the landscaping along the driveway and chose this company because the owner Dan seemed to relate to our issues. We used Angie's List and two personal references to confirm our choice and got three separate quotes. The results were excellent. Dan knows his stuff. His crew was friendly and cooperative. They cleaned up every day they were on the job and did not disturb our landscaping more than a foot on either side. Taking up the old floor in our two car garage was done in tight quarters without any peripheral damage. I have waited more than a year to write this description because you can't judge the quality until you have some weather and traffic to test the quality. This is the second winter and there are no chips or cracks. the rain runs off away from the house and into the drain they installed. The drive starts as a single lane and then curves into a second lane in front of the two car garage. Overall the concrete work and leveling are excellent. We had slightly lower quotes for this work but we are very happy that we chose Specialized Concrete.

Dan was awesome to work with. He provided excellent advice and really educated us on the cost benefit of various approaches to the project. The fact he was at the job working along side his guys each day is a testament to his commitment to quality. He was also great at trouble shooting and addressing unplanned problems quickly and easily. For example during the demo phase, there was a water line we did not know about that broke and the team fixed it within the hour. His team was hard working and clearly execute as a well oiled machine. Highly recommend.

They did a clean up of the weeds in our backyard. They were extremely polite and wanted to know what needed to be done. They listened to me as to what needed done. They worked very hard. They got everything cleaned up that I wanted cleaned up. I took out my lawn debris bags and they packed them and took to the front yard so I didn't have to. The wooded area they worked on looks very nice. They did a good job.

Excellent communication before and after the job. Dan and crew arrived when promised and worked hard & non-stop until the driveway was completed. A very professional crew. Disruption to us and on the street was kept to a minimum. They took great care preparing the base and grading it. The finished driveway looks great, including the saw cut work. Water flowed off the driveway nicely after recent rains. No more puddles! It was a pleasure doing business with Dan.

--Overall, It went very, very well --A team arrived when planned, and the planned date was earlier than initially expected --The team had all the right equipment --The team members worked assiduously, never taking a break that I noticed and without anyone giving direction as each moved from one task to another --They: o    first used a front-bucket small crane to break up the old driveway, deposit the remains in several large dump trucks which they covered and drove away o    staked board edges of the driveway to contain the concrete o    carefully, with a digital level instrument, made sure the edges were at the appropriate heights—level in the rear entrance to the garage and sloping down to the sidewalk toward the front of the property. o    installed two drains, connected to the storm sewer via an operating downspout at the front of the house and, using the level, sank the two terra cotta drains in the appropriate places o    spread a base 4” of gravel     o    spread a path of plywood from the street to the back of the driveway on which a motorized many-gallon truck-lette drove wet concrete from the enormous delivery truck at the street to points successively closer to the street o    spread the concrete using hand rakes and hand ‘boards’ to an even 4” level o    carefully sloped the concrete so that water would flow to the drains o    finished the surface using everything from hand trowels to trowels attached to 16’ poles, ensuring an even surface o    installed several dividing joints o    applied ‘broom’ finish o    cleaned up everything before leaving o    Next day applied ‘saw cuts’ using a concrete saw

1. Had to call him back to replace two slabs because his worker rode the forklift up the driveway and the driver drove it onto a yet-to-be poured area, badly damaging the edge of the slabs. This work was done professionally.
2. Said it was too cold to seal the driveway and he would be back "first thing in the spring" to seal it. Despite our calls, has never showed up. Driveway is now BADLY stained with tree flower and leaf brown stains.
3. Over the winter, THREE sections of the driveway CRACKED COMPLETELY THROUGH. He offered to "patch it" however that does not fix the problem. The blocks are cracked completely through and need to be replaced.
4. SOLON CITY INSPECTOR SAID TWO OF THE SLABS WERE POURED WRONG. Solon cannot do anything about it, however.
4. Despite numerous calls left over the past MONTH he has not returned our calls.
5. END RESULT -- $10,000 SPENT ON AN UNSEALED DRIVEWAY THAT HAS THREE BLOCKS/SLABS COMPLETELY CRACKED THROUGH. COMPANY WAS NOT PROFESSIONAL ENOUGH TO FINISH THE JOB, OR TO CALL BACK ABOUT THE SHODDY WORK.
