He is licensed by the state of Ohio as an electrical contractor ~ Ohio License #18634. For the past twelve years Jeff has volunteered as a CYO basketball coach, and most recently coached the Notre Dame Cathedral-Latin twelfth grade team. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys bass fishing and competing in bass tournaments on Lake Erie. He established Portman Electric in 1987 to provide quality electrical service for the community and has since expanded the company to include commercial and industrial electrical work. Portman Electric was contracted for ten years by Sea World of Ohio to provide electrical service for their park until it closed. Portman Electric currently serves other commercial and industrial clients, including Pentair Filtration in Chardon, Ohio which has been a client for the past fifteen years.
