"Everything turned out fine. When it first arrived, it was damaged in the shipping. It took them quite a while to get something back to us, or even to call me back when I wrote to them. But then, once they got the ball rolling, it went very quickly. It took them probably about a month to even get back to me. The price was very good. Once somebody actually did speak with me, they were very responsive. They were pretty professional when I spoke to them. I just think that they were light on manpower."

"Tech was knowledgeable and completed the installation. I did not like that the ceiling by the light fixture now needs a plaster. Mr. electric does not do plaster."

"Fantastic! Chris was the gentleman that provided the service. He was very professional and detail oriented. I was so happy with the results I called the company the next day to tell them how happy I was with their work. Chris got stains out of my carpets that I thought would never come out. I told them I will never use another company again."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

If your lights are shorting out during rain storms or other winter events, you should probably replace them. These shorts indicate electrical issues that could cause serious hazards. Look for outdoor-rated lights with connectors made for rainy conditions to replace them. But if your Christmas lights are new and you want further protection, you can find weatherproof covers to add to the male-end connectors of your Christmas light strings. These can minimize the risk of shorts.

Yes, most services include testing the system after repairs. Confirm with your provider.

Inspect for burnt-out bulbs, secure connections, and protect from water exposure to maintain functionality.

While wet-rated and damp-rated lighting is designed to handle contact with moisture, there’s a difference between the two. Wet-rated lighting is safety-rated to be placed in areas with direct exposure to water, including your shower. Fixtures classed as wet-rated are made with waterproof seals to protect the filament and other electrical components from water and moisture.

Damp-rated fixtures can be used in places with some moisture contact, but not direct exposure. They don’t have the same waterproof seals used in wet-rated fixtures. Damp-rated lighting can be used on your bathroom ceiling or along a wall outside of your shower.

Costs depend on system type, issue severity, and labor rates.
