  I requested a quote and Mr.Ferris was very quick to respond. I had to wait a couple of months for him to come out, since I did call at a busy time, but it was well worth it. Mr.Ferris's communication is excellent. I cannot tell you how nice it is to have someone call you back when they say they will. The survey was done quickly and professionally. I needed the survey for a fence. He found the two back markers, which were buried, he offered to mark off the middle of the property where the fence would start (to which I happily agreed to), and installed markers at the front of the property. Mr. Ferris was even kind enough to expedite the drawing so the fencing company could apply for a permit right away. He even called to tell me it had been mailed. It arrived right on time.   I didn't need a formal survey, just wanted the property markers uncovered. Other surveyors I contacted didn't want to bother with such a small job, but Ferris Surveying agreed to come out on a day he was doing another job in the area.   He came in the rain to mark the lines. Since this was a boundry line dispute, Finding the proper pins was necessary so Ron arrived on time and proceeded to find all the pins in the neighborhood to establish the grid. Once he did that it was measure to locate or replace missing pins on my property. Since I am installing a retaining wall near the line, he also placed 2 more stakes on the line. After doing the hard part Ron took the time to walk me around and explain what he did and added that the documentation for the courts if needed would be $100. This can be done later if needed.   WITHIN A WEEK OR TWO, THEY ACCOMPLISHED THE TASK OF STAKING PROPERTY, AND THEY SAID IT WOULD COST UNDER $500 WHICH IT WAS. MOST OTHERS QUOTED $500+. ONE QUOTE WAS $800-$1100!

  We called Ron because we were thinking about some landscaping and fencing projects, and our lot had not been surveyed since probably the 1920s when the neighborhood was platted. When we hired Ron, he gave us the quote over the phone at half the price of other surveyors on the area. Onsite, he measured the distance to our lot from the nearest two cross streets and verified that against the tax map. He located the old corner pins buried underground and put in new rebar with mushroom caps. One corner was a challenge because it is right next to an underground PVC drainpipe, and another corner is practically a utility pole. Ron also hammered in some wood stakes at key points along the boundary line where we might put in a fence, and painted the markers pink so we have a visual referenceshow more
