Jordan was accessible during the various phases of the work. Justin & his crew were responsible for the drain install, the carbon fiber straps and the sump pump. They arrived on time each day and outlined the planned work for the day. They were efficient and professional. David Reid was the lead for the crew that would tear out the basement foundation wall and rebuild the wall. Each day David would explain what work was planned for the day. David’s crew Larry Greathouse and Brad Ferguson were professional and always courteous when answering and explaining their work. "The work that was provided was performed promptly and the crew leader was responsible and offered some extra interior drain lines due to the fact that the crawl space was extremely open making it very easy to do their work. They did the extra exterior drain line installation per the contract footage pricing to take the sump line to the street curb. very quickly and appearing to be quite well done. The testing of the sump action when they added water to the interior sump pit showed a quick deposit of water into the street. However, I am still seeing evidence of water in the CMU surfaces above elevation of the new interior drain line that was installed. I assume this to indicate that something should have been done at the wall exterior to take water away from the foundation (probably the J-channel installation)."

"After having another plumber over (who was also highly rated on Angies List), he simply turned on all my hot water lines and told me "All Fixed". I asked him if we needed to flush the hot water heater and he said no. 5 minutes after the first plumber left, my hot water lines had tons of the resin in it again from the hot water heater and was clogging up all my sinks again. I called the first plumber back and he got irritated with me (I felt he did not believe me) and said there was nothing I could do and I needed to buy a new hot water heater. I was not happy with this answer
I called McClean Plumbing finally. They said they couldn't make it out, and I described all that had happened and all the steps I took over the phone. Even though he couldn't come out to my house, this plumber walked me thorough multiple steps and descriptions over multiple calls in enough details that I bought and installed all I needed to fix the issue and save my hot water heater! Very helpful, smart, and considerate guy! Will definitely use them for my future pluming needs.

"In all of the 24 years that we've lived in our home, our sump pump never kicked on. We just assumed that it was because it didn't have to because our property is on a hill, but it turns out that it was rusted solid. Also, the water pipes from the downspouts on the west side of the house to the street were clogged with soil and/or roots, and were not draining rain water underground to the street's gutter efficiently, so in a heavy downpour, the excess water was seeping through the concrete blocks of our foundation on that side of the house. Luckily, we discovered water on the floor in our basement before it got to be a major problem, and we scheduled a crew from Stay Dry Waterproofing to install a new sump pump and all new PVC pipes underground. They showed up on Monday morning as promised, and spent several hours tunneling under the mulch beds next to our house and down the hill, and then UNDER the sidewalk to the gutter. They did a good job by returning the top soil dirt back into the trench and the sod back in place. They did poke a small hole in the plastic window well cover with a shovel, but it's no big deal (we sealed it with duct tape, and big flowerpots will cover it in the summer).
