"After emailing Kingdom Lion Contracting and detailing what I needed done with the supplies I already had, Wes called me shortly after. Soon after that he came to my house to check out the area. He gave a reasonable quote and a start date. His crew showed up at 8:30 and within 5 hours my new fence was complete. I couldn't believe how fast they built the fence and the quality was amazing. I'm very pleased with the outcome. I will definitely recommend and use Kingdom Lion Contracting again. Great price, fast work, and great quality. Thank you! -Katy"

"The finished composite deck and pergola went far beyond my expectations! I absolutely love my new deck. I so appreciated the expertise and hard work of Don’s crew. As evidence to the caliber of job Don and his crew did, my neighbors and my father are asking for his business cards and setting up appointments for quotes! I would absolutely hire them again for a outdoor project. Thank you Angie for referring Don’s Outdoor Renovations to me."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

The best wood for a farm fence is pressure-treated wood that will stand up to various weather conditions, animal contact, and moisture. Farm fences need to resist rot and damage, so choose a species such as cedar or redwood. The natural oils in these woods give them decay resistance, which also makes them ideal for other fence types, such as a wooden snow fence.

The best under-gate dog barrier is one that extends to the ground. This effectively keeps dogs in and won't give them room to squeeze through. However, dogs that dig can still get under the barrier. Deter digging by paving the ground beneath the gate or filling it in with rocks or gravel. Be careful using wire to extend dog gates, as the sharp ends may cut or hurt your dog's paws.

You can use soil and gravel instead of concrete when setting fence posts. However, concrete is more durable and longer lasting, so it's worth considering if you want your fence to withstand the test of time. You should especially consider concrete if you live in a region that experiences severe weather, which can damage your fence.

Installing a picket fence includes measuring and marking the area where you plan to build the fence, laying out all of the materials, digging post holes, setting the posts using concrete, measuring the rails, attaching the rails, attaching the pickets, and then painting or staining the fence if you chose a wooden fence material

For a chain link fence, the ideal distance between fence posts is 6 to 10 feet apart. Measure carefully to ensure even spacing, and resist the temptation to extend the distance more than 10 feet. Doing so could impact the stability of your fence.
