"I contacted them and got a price and scheduled a date for a few days later. Their price is based on the number of registers. When they arrived it was determined that I had neglected to include the cold air return registers (7) in my count but Bob agreed to go ahead and complete the job at the agreed price. There were a total of 38 registers in my ranch home. The cost came to $679. They took approximately 3 hours to do the job."

But a swamp cooler is different from a standard portable AC unit.

If you’re trying to buy a new AC unit, there are a few crucial factors to consider. Look at the cooling capacity, the available warranty, the energy efficiency, and the type of unit. A ductless unit will cost more up front but may be a more viable option if you don’t already have ductwork.
