"They were on time when promised. The work was done fairly quickly (about 3-4 hrs) and they left no mess. Most importantly, the work done has solved the radon problem, lowering numbers from 15-25 down to less than 1."

"Simply Radon was great. They were very responsive, professional and friendly. I bought a radon detector to test our basement and got readings well over 4 pCi/L. After Simply Radon installed a mitigation system it dropped to below 1 pCi/L. I strongly recommend them for anyone considering radon mitigation."

"The workmen were friendly and professional keeping us in the loop through the whole process. The work  took several days to complete .The workers were on time and worked late in the day. No going home early. Surfaces that required protection were covered. Large exhaust fans kept a negative pressure in the house to insure mold was not spread to areas not already contaminated. Materials being removed from the home were taken out through a basement window and not carted through the rest of the house. After testing fa report was provided showing that the house is well within acceptable limits."

Radon Detection and Reduction questions, answered by experts

If high radon levels are detected, steps include sealing entry points, installing a mitigation system, and retesting the air regularly to ensure reduced levels.

Testing every 2-5 years or upon adjusting occupancy or structural changes maintains safe environments.

Mitigation can take several days depending on home setup, equipment accessibility, and achieving effective diffusion system sealed efficiency.

Radon is the number one non-smoking cause of lung cancer in the United States, but it can cause some other concerning side effects in the meantime. If you have a raspy voice, chest pains, trouble breathing, difficulty swallowing, or any of the above, don’t hesitate to perform radon testing and install a mitigation system as soon as possible.

The cost to replace a radon fan ranges from $300 to $600 for the fan itself, with installation adding an additional $200 to $500. Overall, the total cost for replacement can range from $500 to $1,100, depending on factors such as the fan model, home size, and local labor rates. If the fan is part of a larger radon mitigation system, the price may be higher.
