"If I could give more stars, I would. I had hired a different company to paint my gray house to a creamy white. It took them 4 weeks. I noticed they were cutting corners but they assured me they knew what they were doing. Fast forward 4 months later, paint starts to literally fall off. Rotted wood was painted over and not replaced. A neighbor recommended Wulfhorst Painting and Remodeling and I'm grateful they did. Brad and his team fixed their sloppy work and it looks absolutely amazing. And they had to start from scratch, pressure washing, removing peeling paint, and replacing rotten siding. It took them one week and I couldn't be happier. I was so impressed with their service and competitive prices that now I'm looking for them to renovate my master bath. Reliable, honest companies can be hard to find, so glad I found them."

"Quite simply, this was the best contractor we have hired in 35 years of home ownership. We have had some good ones (and bad), but Pat is way above the rest and his price was the most reasonable. I read almost all the reviews and they are all fantastic (not one bad one) and for good reason: Pat and his team are the nicest, friendliest, most conscientious, thorough, laid-back, competent crew I have worked with. Four of them worked for 2 solid days scraping and repairing rotted wood that prior painters glossed over (they were too professional to say this themselves) with NO complaints. And I had to insist that we compensate them properly for all that! Pat is the most honest, knowledgeable, generous contractor I have hired. They may not look like your typical college-aged painters, but don't be fooled - they are a capable and expert team like no other. BTW, they can fix anything - I plan to have them back to seal our brick, fix and paint the deck, do interior work, and my neighbors are having them replace gutters and tuck-point. You should paint your home exterior every five to 10 years, on average. Climate and surroundings can affect how well paint holds up. Wood siding will likely need a fresh coat of paint every three to seven years. Paint on brick tends to last about eight to 17 years, on average.
Professional painters charge $20 to $50 per hour, on average. Hourly rate cost factors include the complexity of the paint job, the type of paint, the height of the walls and ceiling, and the type of prep and repairs needed. The cost to paint the exterior of a house ranges from $1,900 to $4,500 or about $1.50 to $4 per square foot, depending on the size, height, and complexity of the home layout. Other cost factors include your location, the type of siding (e.g., wood, aluminum, brick, stucco, etc.), and the kind of paint (e.g. oil-based, latex, acrylic, etc.). Painting the trim a different color or painting intricately designed trim can also increase the cost.
