"I recently hired this company to install a yard French drainage system to eliminate stand water in my back yard and both sides of the house. Not only was the cost reasonable, but Lonnie was a true professional. He walk me through the entire installation and explained how and why the system works and connects to the down spouts. I did not expect this and I consider him a friend."

"My yard has a low point right in the middle of it that when it rains collects all the water and stays wet for days after it rains. I had stay dry install a drain in the exact spot I was having my problems and they ran the drain line to the city storm drain and even brought in dirt to raise the low part of my yard up to help try to make it flat so it looks better. The guys that work for this company really do work extremely hard. They didnâ t stop all day and was able to complete the project in just one day. If your having problems at least give them a call its worth it."

"My wife’s and I’s experience with Everdry was exceptional. The in home evaluation was easy and the professional explained exactly how the process works and was upfront about pricing. Their customer service was excellent in helping get us scheduled (we had a baby on the way and wanted to get it done before the baby was born) so they worked to squeeze us in which was appreciated. On the actual construction days, the team was professional and communication was good with the project leader. We are one year from installation and have had some big rains and the basement is still bone dry. I’ve since had to call with followup questions regarding warrantee upkeep, and their phone customer service is excellent and they are so easy to get a hold of. I know that many struggle with contacting contractors for followup and the easy of mind that this is an established business with good communication and followup for customers is worth it. My only complaint is the website is rudimentary is very challenging to support online bill pay for the warrantee payments, but other than that, a very good job!"

"I had a partial interior drain (hill behind house), sump pump (w/15' discharge line), dehumidifier, crawlspace encapsulated, (3) 20' downspout discharge lines, and a new crawl space entrance were installed in frozen ground in 2 days. Iran H. and Chris M. are impressive hardworking young people that did a wonderful install job. Salesman Roger K. went above and beyond to reassure me that they knew what they were doing. (I had to fire a different company 2 months prior because they didn't)."

"We live in Louisville Kentucky. We did not discuss our problem with the company from Cincinnati since they are not an aria. We did call hey Mr. cotton in Louisville who is in the same ZIP Code as we are in. He was reluctant to come to our address because he felt it was too far. But he did offered to come to our home reluctantly. But he would not come for the "even an Angie's list or our plumbing problem. Therefore we contacted Lenhart's plumbing which is a much greater distance from my home and they performed the necessary plumbing had a much llower cost and want to have a harsh. I even gave us a senior discount . They were very courteous and careful to clean up any debris. We recommend them highly.

"Installed two new exterior faucets. Overly pushy in trying to find fault with the property. Could not be asked - had to be yelled at - to stop tinkering with the toilet. Offered an estimate to redo drainage lines. Estimate was rejected because he only wanted to do the easy-to-reach portions of the line. Said he'd write another estimate, never got around to it. Clearly doesn't want to do anything but trivial jobs.

FAQs for drain pipe installation projects in Ross, OH

The regulations around whether drain pipe installers need to hold licenses or certifications differ based on where you live and the type of drain pipe installed. Municipalities have varying rules and regulations about who can and can’t perform plumbing work. However, we recommend hiring a certified plumber to install or modify your drain lines. Licensed plumbers will perform a high-quality, professional installation, which translates to a lower risk of clogs and leaks in the future. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to confirm the license status of your potential plumber before hiring them to install your drain pipe.

The cost to install a drain pipe is $600 on average, but the total can range between $150 and $2,000. Some cost factors that influence your project price include the type of drain, the area’s accessibility, the proximity of existing drain lines, and whether you’re installing a new drain or replacing an old one. Replacing the p-trap or s-trap under a single fixture will usually cost around $150, while replacing a main drain pipe can cost well over $2,000.

Plumbers will typically take one to two hours to install a new drain pipe, but that timeline can vary based on the area’s accessibility, the drain length, and the type of drain line. Replacing an easily accessible p-trap under a sink could take as little as a half an hour, while replacing a larger section of drain line behind the wall could take as long as three to four hours. When hiring a plumber for your specific installation, ask them to provide an estimated timeline to get a more accurate assessment.

You might need a permit to modify or repair any portion of your plumbing system, including drainage lines, depending on where you live. In some areas, simple replacements of existing drain lines don’t require a permit. We recommend asking your drain pipe installer or your local building department about permitting requirements. In many cases, only certified plumbers can pull plumbing permits, so you’ll usually need to leave the permit application to your professional. The fee for the permit will be passed to you on your project bill, though.

We highly recommend leaving the work of replacing drain pipes to a professional plumber. Drain pipes are a key part of your plumbing system, and making mistakes during the installation or even using the wrong size pipes for your specific fixture can lead to an elevated risk of leaks and clogs. Additionally, drain pipes prevent harmful sewer gas from entering your home, so hiring a professional plumber is essential to keeping the risk of leaks and clogs low and avoid reducing your indoor air quality.
