"This is the 4th project we’ve used Exotic Tile for. They are professional, communicate well, show up and complete jobs on time. "Trevor and John were very professional and did a great job installing a wall oven and Cook top, both of which required cabinet modifications. After they left I found a couple of minor issues I felt needed to be addressed. I contacted their office and John returned early the following day to take care of them. "The end quality and workmanship was great! The only draw back was the height of the splash guards a bit too high. The counter got installed by the splash guards had to be trimmed and installed a few days later. Carlton does great work and delivered in the end a good installation."

Tile is also considered a sustainable material. For a cohesive kitchen design and added protection, you can pair a tile countertop with a matching tile backsplash.

Whether you use a brush or roller depends on the size, shape, and amount of tiles. Rollers are easier to maneuver over large areas and can apply a more even coat of paint in a shorter time frame with no visible brushstrokes. Brushes are best for precision work, particularly in very small areas. If you don't want visible brushstrokes on your painted tiles, you can paint details with small foam brushes instead of bristled paint brushes.

Using caulk is one of the simplest and most recommended methods to finish glass tile edges. It creates an elegant seam between the glass tile and the adjacent area, along with a waterproof seal. With this method, you want to use a caulk color that matches the grout and, along with the grout, compliments the tile. Make sure the caulk line is smooth and even. Alternatively, you can use a bullnose or tile trimming to edge, however, that will also require caulk to seal.

Figure out how much tile you need by measuring the backsplash area. Measure the height and length in feet and multiply to get the square footage.
