"They did an excellent job. The contractors were professional, explained things to me along the way over video chat while I was at work and my husband was at home, cleaned up daily, and overall did a fantastic job. I would hire these guys again and recommend them to anyone!"

"We live in a condo and had space to add a tall cabinet. The problem was the space was already occupied by our catsâ litter box. We needed to still keep the litter box in that same corner. Beiler Custom Cabinets was able to work with our need and design request. What was created was an eight foot tall cabinet, with a dedicated spot at the bottom that accommodated the litter box at the bottom, with a side entrance."

Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

As a homeowner, there are a few things you can do to prepare for your cabinet installer. Once the cabinets are ready for your home, you can do the following:

  • Ensure pets are safely in another room, out of the way of open doors and large moving objects.

  • Clear countertops for removal.

  • Tidy the floor the installers will walk through and around.

  • Prepare to have the installers in your home for the entire day, for multiple days, until the project is done. Expect to have a noisy environment, especially if they will remove old, existing cabinets.

Careful measurement is crucial—measure multiple times and account for hardware thickness, seasonal wood movement, and clearance requirements. Test-fit components before final assembly, and consider building one drawer as a prototype before cutting materials for multiple units.

Installing cabinet toe kicks after installing flooring is common, as this produces a sleek, streamlined appearance along the cabinetry bases. The toe kick is a cabinetry term for the covered, recessed areas at the cabinet’s base that let you stand closer to the counter more comfortably by making room for your toes.

Yes, garage cabinets are worth it to organize the tools, supplies, equipment, and gear you’ve been storing in the garage. Garage cabinets provide a great way to declutter your space while also preserving your valuables—keeping them free from dust, debris, and various weather elements. Not to mention, garage cabinets also elevate the look of your garage, which can prove beneficial when you’re looking to sell your home.

No. Drywall anchors aren’t a good choice for hanging a cabinet because the opening and closing of the cabinet door can cause things to shift, the weight of a mirror is more than most drywall anchors can accommodate, and adding the weight of items stored in the cabinet will make this an even more precarious option. Using the correct mounting bracket for the cabinet you choose is the best way to hang a medicine cabinet.
