"The window job at my house was going to be huge. It was a window that was approximately 5 ft x 7ft. It was located above a door and transom and was not going to be easy. My wife and I searched around looking for the right company to do the job. I thought I had them but they canceled three scheduled dates. Then backed out claiming the leaking of my window was to risky of there being water damaged for them to take responsibility for. Thanks, Window World. When we searched around again. I paid more attention to customer reviews and Solar Windows rated very high and customer write ups were good. When Mark Capitoni the salesman came to our house the pressure was not there like the other companies that came to our house for customer quotes. So, we went with Solar Windows. I was contacted the night before letting me know when the crew would be there. A crew of five guys arrived on time. They all very friendly and they explained how the job was going to be done. They started the job and were AMAZING at removing the old and installing the new window. This job was completed in approximately 3-1/2 hours! Solar Windows gets the future jobs that we need at our household. Thanks!!"

"Emmett and his crew were a breath of fresh air! Timely, knowledgeable, pro-fessional, and considerate. Installation of our sliding door along with removal of existing windows was efficient and the result is just as we hoped for. Emmet's skill with electrical work is impressive. We are now ready for our Patio Enclosure to be put into place."

"This company consists of some people who have come to our country from the Ukraine about three years ago. They have a wonderful, upbeat spirit and are very professional and customer-service oriented. When my window fell out into my house some of the hardware broke. Now it would not raise or lower and the tilt in function for cleaning it was broken. I could not find the company after twenty years. I got a quick, reasonable quote, great treatment on the phone, personable representation by the repair person and a fair price (certainly compared to buying a new window). I never would have called this company because I did not know them. Home Advisor's recommendation was right on target. I would recommend this company highly for more complicated projects than what had. They are that good."

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

For screen repair in Parma, keep a spline roller, utility knife, measuring tape, and pliers handy. Stock both fiberglass and aluminum mesh for window screen replacement, plus various spline sizes and screen patches. Choose pet-resistant and rust-resistant materials to withstand local weather. Store supplies in a dry area to prevent corrosion, and use mild detergent with a soft brush for regular screen cleaning and maintenance.

Helpful?

For minor screen repair in Parma, patch small tears with adhesive kits and gently clean screens to remove local pollen and debris. Always work indoors or on calm days to prevent weather-related mishaps. Secure loose frames and adjust screen doors as needed. Use a sturdy ladder for any elevated work, but leave major window screen replacement or upper-floor repairs to professionals for safety.

Helpful?

In Parma, homeowners often misjudge the right screen mesh for Ohio’s humidity and fluctuating temperatures, leading to premature wear. Measuring old, warped frames inaccurately is common, especially in Parma’s older homes. Attempting window screen replacement on upper floors without proper ladders or safety gear can be risky. Overlooking pet-resistant screens or not securing screen door repairs properly can also result in repeated issues or safety hazards.

Helpful?

Parma’s frequent spring storms and high humidity mean choosing rust-resistant hardware and durable screening is essential for long-lasting repairs. Many homes have custom window sizes due to age, so double-check measurements before purchasing materials. Be aware of any neighborhood guidelines on exterior appearance, and plan disposal of old screens in line with local recycling practices to avoid unnecessary clutter or fines.

Helpful?

New homeowners in Parma should prioritize inspecting and repairing window screens in bedrooms, kitchens, and main living areas to ensure proper ventilation and keep insects out. Pay special attention to basement and ground-level windows, which are prone to damage from moisture and debris. After winter, check for tears or sagging in screens facing prevailing winds, and address any screen door repair needs before spring arrives.
