"Frank did an excellent job of listening to my design ideas and completing them. He brought samples of counter tops and paint choices to make sure everything matched what I was looking for. He also was knowledgeable enough to recommend buying flat front cabinets and replacing flat fronts with bead board instead (which saved me a lot of money). Everything looks wonderful! I would highly recommend him for almost any interior work on a home."

Small jobs welcome

"The service went perfect he came out to see if he could re-install my old medicine cabinet but with it being so old I had to order another one and he came right out to install for me, as well as fixing my squeaky bathroom door for me. I will definitely use him again."

Doors questions, answered by experts

For Parma’s variable climate, fiberglass and steel doors are ideal for entry door replacement due to their insulation and resistance to warping. Use weatherstripping that handles both humidity and cold, and opt for stainless steel or brass hardware to prevent rust. Polyurethane foam insulation and high-quality caulk help seal gaps. Local hardware stores often carry products suited for Parma’s mix of historic and mid-century homes.

Helpful?

In Parma, you can address minor door repair issues by tightening loose hinges, cleaning out debris from tracks, and applying weatherstripping to block drafts. For doors that stick, lightly sand the edges and check for swelling after rain. Always use protective eyewear and ensure the area is well-lit. If you encounter warped frames or signs of structural movement, contact a local expert for safe, effective solutions.

Helpful?

In Parma, homes built before the 1970s often have non-standard door frames or settling that can cause misalignment. Watch for uneven thresholds, visible gaps, or doors that rub after seasonal changes. Tight entryways or doors near staircases can also complicate installation. If you see cracks around the frame or notice doors sticking after wet weather, it’s wise to consult a local door repair professional.

Helpful?

Completing door service projects in Parma enhances comfort by preventing cold drafts and moisture intrusion common in older homes, especially during harsh winters. Properly sealed and insulated entry doors help maintain indoor temperatures, reduce noise from busy streets, and improve energy efficiency. Upgrading doors also strengthens home security and can boost curb appeal, which is especially valuable in Parma’s established neighborhoods.

Helpful?

In Parma, prioritize door service projects if you notice broken locks, doors that stick after heavy rain, or drafts during the fall and winter. These issues can quickly worsen due to Parma’s frequent freeze-thaw cycles and lake-effect weather. Minor cosmetic concerns, like chipped paint or squeaky hinges, can wait, but addressing them before seasonal humidity changes can prevent more extensive door repair needs later.
