"Mr..Dapper has done a lot of work for us. He remodeled our bathroom to accommodate my husband who suffered from numerous strokes, making it accessible with the walker or wheelchair. He’s also painted the entire inside of my house. He also we built my back deck with a metal roof. Also chuck down several large trees out of my front yard and also laid all new flooring throughout the house. Bobbie is a very respectable polite gentleman honest as a day is long has done wonderful work within my home and I highly recommend them to everybody. The job is done in a timely manner.. he takes pride in his work, and if there’s a problem or we’re not satisfied with something which has never been a issue with me, he’s right there to make sure he fixes whatever the issue is you’re not satisfied he will make sure you’re satisfied I recommend to all my friends and family. You won’t find any more polite, hard-working, trustable, businessman, other than. Dad‘s home improvement and excavation"

"They were quick and they were prompt while being able to do a good job. The price wasn't too much, i liked them so much i in fact hired them again and will probably do so again. I felt that they were very knowledgeable and felt confident about my choice. They handle the project in a very professional manner and would reccomend them to everyone. And trust me, if i wasnt happy with the work they provided, i would be writing the opposite type of review! Thank you so much Sequoia Studios!"

"This is the 2nd time I have used Safe Electric and both times I have used them have been great experiences. I had 3 new fixtures installed plus a new circuit run to be used for a new freezer in our finished basement. Jon & Eric were the two electricians that were sent to my home. They worked efficiently and quickly, but did outstanding work. Even though our basement had a finished ceiling, they were able to run a wire through with minimal disruption to the finished ceiling. I had concerns about the alignment of the lights on the fixture (this was a manufacturing defect and nothing to do with their installation) and they obliged me by improving the light alignment. They also cleaned up after they were completed and disposed of the old light fixtures and packaging materials for the new fixtures. Their work was excellent. The only negative aspect was the price which seemed very high to me. The cost for installation of the 3 light fixtures was $462 and the new circuit was $903."

"Top notch land and lot clearing did a great job clearing my lots. They were very prompt in reaching out when I did an online inquiry. They had someone out to do an estimate the next day. I was able to book the job and they had equipment out with in the next two days to do the job. They were very reasonable with pricing that I was actually surprised. The two gentlemen that came out and did the work were very professional and seemed very experienced. I would recommend them to anyone."

Small jobs welcome

"Alan was on time, very pleasant, respectful of my property, took great care to conform to my specifications, and did a good job. He cleaned up his work site when finished. In this age of slip shod workers, he was a refreshing and welcomed contractor. Thanks, Alan!"

Excavating questions, answered by experts

The best type of soil to build on is a mixture of sand and clay, known as loam soil. Loam soil has the best combination of these soil types to build a foundation on. The clay particles help with water retention, so it won’t erode like sandy soil might, and the sandy particles help with drainage, so you won’t see unsafe soil expansion or have an increased risk of leaks from water sitting against your foundation.

A joint utility trench, or joint trench, is a long, buried ditch on a property that contains two or more utility lines rather than running the lines in multiple trenches. Some utilities, like gas and electric or electric and communication lines, are better suited to joint trenching, while others, like water and sewer, are not allowed to be in the same trench.

If you don’t have a crawl space but have a partial basement you want to make deeper, you can expect to spend a little less—between $40,000 and $90,000 on average. However, if you’re not adding new finished square footage, you won’t see much in the way of ROI.

Yes. A metal detector is one of the quickest and easiest ways to find your septic tank. However, metal detectors can be too expensive (costing upward of $300 in some cases), and not everyone has a metal detector just lying around. If that’s the case for you, you can also take a long metal rod and poke it into the ground at regular intervals until you hit something—likely your septic tank lid.

The average cost for pool excavation is $2,500. This cost can range from $450 to $4,500, depending on the pool shape and size, time of year, and any need to move buried utilities.

When excavating for your pool, you might have to move existing utilities. You can expect to pay an additional $15 to $25 per linear foot to move gas lines. To move a septic system, it’ll cost an additional $2,000 to $20,000. A pool that is 10 feet by 12 feet averages $450 to excavate, and a 20-foot-by-40-foot pool averages $3,020.
