"This was by far the best experience we could have asked for. Our AC wasn’t acting properly, and as usual when something isn’t working it happens at the worst time (middle of summer). Our AC unit was outside of warranty and it was time for a new one. We looked around, were given long wait times and high prices from several other companies. MAP construction made time to fit us in for an initial inspection, detailed everything they would and could do to help the situation, and were extremely reasonably priced. They were on time when coming to start work, updated us on progress throughout the day, and the final bill was even a little under the initial price!! The in home technicians were respectful of our home, clean and very polite, professional, prompt and courteous. The owner, Matt, has even checked up on us to see if everything is to our satisfaction. "Mike, the technician, was great! He quickly diagnosed the problem as a clogged solenoid valve and had the system up and running in no time. He also noticed that the company that had installed the furnace a few years ago and wired the humidifier to run constantly, instead of just when the blower was running. After getting my approval, he had the wiring fixed in just a few minutes. The total cost of the visit was $154. I'd also like to mention that I had another company out before Geisel to look at the same issue. That company said the Solenoid actually was bad and needed to be replaced at a cost of about $400. This other company said they would discount the replacement & service to just over $300 if I purchased a service contract with them. I didn't do it because I remembered seeing an Angie's List email where I could get an updated version of this whole home humidifier installed for just over $300. I am very happy with Geisel and plan on using them for all my heating, air conditioning and plumbing needs in the future. I also intend on specifically asking for the technician to be Mike.show more
