Customers say: Super punctual

"Excellent. Jack Woods Plumbing is a solid trustworthy company that has knowledgeable professionals who are skilled and efficient. They maintain good relationships with craftsmen in other trades that enable them to provide referrals as needed. Bill provided a referral for someone who could assist with carpentry to enable the plumbing work to be completed. After the vanity cabinetry was installed, Bill was able to schedule the plumbing work within the same week. Tim was able to come a little sooner and approached the job as a knowledgeable, seasoned professional. He was very helpful in explaining features of the product we purchased and information about warranty for future reference. Tim as well as Bill and Rex cate about the customer and are helpful and responsive to questions. Jack Woods Plumbing is always very busy in regard to scheduling work but they are trustworthy and reliable."

"Over-all, very well. Installers seemed very professional and knowledgeable. Sales person answered my questions and worked with me. Only gripe: Sales person promised he would follow up and return post installation and I never heard a word from him again after the installation. That tainted any positivity of the experience prior to that point."

"Excellent. We had other projects we wanted done, but they explained to us that installation of these fixtures (and a new outlet) would involved drywall being cut and they wanted us to know this before starting.  We decided this wasn't worth doing.
They arrived for the estimate a few minutes early, and arrived the day to work right on time. Matt did the installation, and he was professional, courteous, neat and clean. He was only there 1/2  a day.

"After job was done. Water was found in the crawl space. They came to check it and could not find where the water was coming from instead of further investigating. Then they cut two holes in the sealed lining which is supposed to be sealed. The drain pipe they installed just drains out into my yard and now I have water standing in my back yard. Very poor. Now I have other problems."

"I’m so glad I went with APEX Pros. I was under the misconception that going with the bigger companies meant more money yet, I have had small business owners give extremely high estimates even without expressing the full scope of the job. I have also been taken advantage of by the smaller companies several times. With APEX Pros, the technician Romerial was extremely knowledgeable and was able to diagnose the job quickly. There were some broken support brackets from the drain pan and so everything was draining to the floor. In order to cool we had to swim basically. Floor was covered and each tech before APEX and Romerial had no clue what to do. It’s been going on for months and now I have a dry basement. The technician explained the job, showed me exactly what was going on, walked me through the full scope of the job, then estimated the time at two hours, brought a level of calm and comfort to me that I had not not even once during the hvac issue. I definitely recommend them."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

A sewage smell in your crawl space is usually from a damaged or clogged pipe leaking sewer gasses or actual sewage underneath your home, but there are some other common causes. Moisture, from poor or damaged encapsulation or a malfunctioning sump pump, can harbor mold and bacteria, causing a musty smell. Pests can also get stuck in your crawl space and die, which causes a sewage-like odor.

Baking soda and vinegar is a great solution for cleaning your sink drain; in fact, it’s our preferred method. Here’s how to unclog your drain with baking soda and vinegar: Pour in a half cup of baking soda, then 1 cup of white vinegar, and let the two bubble for 15 minutes. Then rinse out with boiling water. This method is much safer than using a chemical drain cleaner gel.

Bleach is generally not recommended for your shower drains. Although diluted bleach can technically help clean your drain, it will not unclog your pipes. In fact, bleach can harm your plumbing system because it’s so powerful. The bleach can change the color of your sink and even corrode metal pipes and fittings.

Often, people reach for bleach because it's already in their house. But it's worth getting a plunger or a drain snake for the job instead. It'll be a lot less money to buy a new plunger than to pay a plumber to repair or replace damaged pipes.

DIY plunging or drain cleaning chemicals may help minor clogs, but professional hydro jetting ensures long-term solutions.

It’s possible to snake minor drain clogs yourself, provided they sit within a foot or two of the drain itself, but it’s usually best to hire a professional plumber regardless. Even experienced DIYers have a high chance of accidentally pushing the clog further into the drain using a drain snake or another tool, so hiring a plumber is the ideal course of action. A professional plumber can use camera equipment to locate and identify the clog, and remove the entire blockage to fix your issue permanently.
