I paid him $135.00 and he never returned to repair my washer. He hasn't returned my voicemail messages or responded to my email requesting a response. UPDATE: Provider stole the water pump. Now, I must buy another water pump + pay for another provider to repair my washer."

Induction ranges only warm slightly, and often do not have an indicator that they are turned on (though some newer models have lights to mimic the glow of electric units). Because induction stovetops don’t get very hot, they are considered safer than electric units.

Many modern appliance brands make small appliances meant to be replaced rather than repaired, but companies like LG®, GE®, Maytag®, Kitchenaid®, and Whirlpool® stand out as high-quality brands with repairable products. Many of these companies even employ technicians who repair large and small appliances alike, and manufacture replacement parts to make repairs easier. If you’re unsure if it’s best to repair or replace your appliance, ask a professional appliance technician about the brand and specific model.

If your microwave is on the fritz and you suspect the fuse has blown, you can check it to confirm it’s the source of the problem. Start by disassembling the panel and carefully checking the fuse filament or ceramic components. If your microwave uses a glass fuse, you’ll likely see discoloration and a melted filament. If your microwave contains a ceramic fuse, you’ll need to use a multimeter continuity tester to check if there’s continuity.

Preventive measures include keeping appliances clean, avoiding overuse, and storing them in suitable environments to prevent malfunction.
