"Great team of young men. They certainly enjoyed each other while installing the windows. Very careful to get them in correctly. Cleaned up well afterwards also. They were able to get the job done in one day, which was wonderful. (It was a long day for them.). We love having no grids! Thank you to each who were diligent in their work!"
When windows are 10 feet tall, then a motorized lift is quite handy to assist with the installation.
In the winter months, it is always a good idea to bring extra lighting because the the sun sets so early and we must stay to complete the installation.

"We had 4 large slider windows installed on our patio. Steven and his crew did a great job on the install and kept me involved in most of the decisions. I'm very happy that Window Expo uses Provia products as they are a very well made product"

"Be sure how many men will be on the job. Four is NOT enough. They will be rushed and make detail mistakes. And be sure your salesman is available throughout the process. Mine did not respond to my emails. He should be your advocate. And be sure the final walk around inspection is detailed. Also be sure to visually inspect the drip edge shingle trim and drip edge installation thoroughly."

Customers say: Terrific value

"I had two leaded glass built-in cabinet doors that needed repair. The doors are close to the ground and kids had broken different panes over the years. Jim was very easy to work with. I was able to drop off and pickup the doors after hours. The quality of the repairs was excellent. I highly recommend contacting them for leaded or stained glass repair work."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Cutting glass yourself can be dangerous, as the edges are sharp and can easily cause lacerations if you’re not careful. Working with larger pieces of glass is especially dangerous, as they can be cumbersome and difficult to handle without shattering. If you’re uncomfortable doing the work yourself, you can hire a professional to get the job done safely.

Yes, smart glass can be blacked out. Blackout smart glass allows homeowners to turn windows from transparent to blacked out instantaneously.

You can use a commercial water repellent treatment for glass on your shower doors to prevent water spots. Take care to only apply the product to glass. Letting air circulate also helps prevent water spots, as water is less likely to remain on the glass for a long time with good air circulation. Run your vent fan, open a window, and leave the shower door open for about half an hour after using the shower.

Glass has one of the longest lifespans of any fencing materials, lasting anywhere from 10 to 30 years on average. Just how long your glass fence lasts depends on several factors, including how well you maintain your fence, the climate, and the type of glass you use.

If you live somewhere with severe weather like hail, tornadoes, or hurricanes, expect your glass to have a shorter lifespan. Pool glass is one of the thickest tempered glass materials and may last longer than other options—especially compared to laminated glass.

Heavy glass tends to be more expensive than thin glass because it is stronger and more durable. In most cases, ¼-inch-thick glass is ideal for mirrors, and ⅛-inch-thick glass is ideal for residential windows. Heavier glass isn’t always necessary, and can be more challenging to hang or install. Work with a local window installation pro for replacement or new construction windows.
