He also found she’d been nursing and captured two kits in the crawl space. He told me to tell him if I heard anymore sounds which I did when he returned the following day. He captured two more kits and told me to call him again if I heard any more sounds. There weren’t any more and I was impressed that he still called to follow up. I was completely satisfied with his humane methods of removing the animals from my property."

In many places, killing bees or destroying a hive is discouraged or regulated due to their crucial role as pollinators. You don’t have to worry about a termite infestation wreaking havoc on your home within days or weeks. It takes several months or years for significant structural damage to occur. The destruction rate depends on the colony’s size and maturity, the wood they’re feeding on, and the local conditions. Serious termite damage usually takes 3 to 8 years. But you should still take steps to treat your home and prevent termite return as soon as you spot their signs.

The cockroach most easily confused with water bugs is the Oriental cockroach, for several reasons. Their shape is most similar to a water bug, and they’re notorious for seeking out and living near water. If you capture one of these bugs close to a water supply, you can quickly tell if it’s an Oriental roach or a water bug. These roaches are a darker color, and they cannot fly, while water bugs are a lighter brown and can fly to escape.

While keeping any critter away permanently isn’t always possible, you can keep mice away from your home by setting traps, fumigating your space, and sealing known entry points. Once you’ve taken these steps, take time to work on prevention measures, such as clearing out all clutter and recyclables and removing all food sources.

It’s very rare to find mice in a bed frame or mattress outside of the most extreme infestation scenarios. That said, your bedroom isn’t off limits for mice if it offers them shelter, food, and warmth. Look for any gaps or openings a mouse could squeeze into, and don’t keep food in your bedroom.
