"Terminix was quick to respond and to get out here for a termite inspection, which is what we needed. However, they signed us up for pest control and said their agent would be out to care for us right away. So far haven’t seen him yet. Will give 5 stars if that turns out well."

Yes, it’s possible to have bed bugs and not find them because they hide in small spaces outside of mattresses, including baseboards, headboards, electrical outlets, clothing, and in crevices of walls. They can squeeze into spaces as small as the width of a credit card. Bed bugs can also live up to 400 days without feeding, making them resilient and hard to eradicate.

False chinch bugs are generally smaller and somewhat paler than true chinch bugs, although they otherwise look similar.
