"They were horrible. Worst moving experience ever. They did not wrap anything - even after being asked to do so - deep gouges, and scratches all over my stainless appliances, also deep scratches all over my furniture, which rubbed against boxes and sides of the moving truck because it was not wrapped - multiple pieces of furniture ruined. Broke items in boxes marked fragile/glass - over $5000 in damages and then they tell me they’re going to have their insurance company reach out to process a claim. Still haven’t heard from them and it’s almost a month out from the move date. Looks like I need to hire an attorney. AVOID this company if you value your belongings. Oh, and watch for the fine print on the quote about valuation - if you select nothing, by default they will assign a depreciated value so when they ruin your items they’re not going to pay you full cost to replace them. I paid them in full for a horrible job that is now going to cost me thousands to replace my damaged property"

"Military Servicemembers and Veterans Beware! Kentuckiana Moving LLC claim to do a lot of military moves but do not function or govern themselves the way military movers do. It was nice not have to inventory each individual item but they do not move expeditiously and strategically to maximize efforts and time. I met Justin a few days prior to the preferred date to move my HHGs from a local storage unit to a residence 4.7 miles up the road. I had about 13000 lbs worth of furniture and agreed to pay for a fourth person and an additional truck to help the process move more efficiently at a rate of $240/hr and $100 per truck. Although the moving crew were friendly and respectful, they were late upon arrival, took an hour lunch, and several extended breaks in excess of five minutes to fold up moving blankets or chat amongst each other. When one crewmember went on break, they all went on break so the day got unnecessarily longer. When all the furniture was moved into the house, my beds, desks, recliner, and table, were left unassembled. Although all the boxes were labeled, heavy items were placed on top of fragile item, and like items were not grouped together as requested. Justin informed me that whatever I needed the movers to do, they will do but showed up with any tools to put anything together. I do appreciate them for putting the bed frame up so I didn’t have to sleep on the floor. When it was time to pay, the military discount was not reflected on the contract and I was charged for materials we didn’t use or need to facilitate the move. The contractual agreement was not shared until the crew arrived that includes different verbiage than the information on included on the initial quote. The crewmember sped through the contract on his mobile device which was difficult to read and stated the verbiage was the same as indicated in the quote which was not the case. I didn’t have the ability to pick my valuation as that was selected by the crew regarding damage coverage. Basic Value Protection is based on $.60/ per lb/ article whereas as the “Actual Value Damage Coverage with $250 dedutible” is based on $5.00/ per lb/ article. There is a clause in the contract that is not beneficial for military servicemembers and was not disclosed prior to signing knowing the DoD handled your HHGs prior to Kentuckiana Moving LLC. Although Kentuckiana Moving LLC claim to be a veteran-owned business, I cannot recommend their moving services to other military servicemembers or veterans."

After going back and forth with multiple companies and getting different quotes, I finally said let’s go with Eagle moving and storage. They are the real deal. We’re gentle and respectful with everything. Didn’t break a single thing after moving 500 miles. Dennis even came to make sure everything was going okay on moving day. I can’t recommend them enough. "I submitted a request to Angie s List as I was getting ready to sell our house. I was looking for a pool company to make some repairs to our pool. When I spoke to the representative from Angie s List, it was mentioned that we were moving out of state. I was told that Angie s List could assist with that as well. In response to that conversation, I received a call from Erik with Nationwide Van Lines. He represented himself as an employee of an A-Plus company that has been in business for 25-plus years. I asked Erik to give me a quote for a full-service, out-of-state move. I was very happy with the quoted price and was encouraged by Erik to go forward with a Risk Free Deposit of $1,700.00. At the time, I was only able to pay $500.00. In hindsight, I consider that a blessing! Erik emailed me the moving quote and asked that I electronically sign it at my convenience and send it back. He had already taken payment of $500.00 for a Risk Free deposit. For the record, I never did electronically sign the moving estimate. As I was contacted through Angie s List, it didn t even cross my mind that they could be scammers! About a week later, I was contacted by Brandon. He advised me that Erik had been terminated and Brandon was my new contact person. Never was it mentioned by Erik or Brandon that there was a 72-hour cancellation window. This shouldn t matter, however, as I did not electronically sign the moving estimate! As the move was approaching, I decided to call and pay the balance of my deposit. After a gut feeling, I decided to do a little more research before paying my balance. When I googled Nationwide Van Lines, I noticed a different phone number and address. I decided to call the 800 number that came up with my Google search. They answered as Nationwide Van Lines. I advised them I had an upcoming move and that I would like to work out a few details with them. When the customer service representative couldn t find my info, she advised me that I had been scammed. The real Nationwide Van Lines receives calls almost daily with horror stories of people who have been scammed by the company Nationwide Movers. The representative advised me that Nationwide Movers has been using the reputable name of Nationwide Van Lines to try and get business. They are known for lowballing the estimate to get the business, and then they greatly increase the price and use a third-party mover to complete the work. Sometimes, even holding your stuff hostage. She asked that I file a complaint with the Department of Transportation, which I did. The DOT number is for a company called EZ Moving Group DBA Nationwide Movers."
