Customers say: True professional

"Excellent service. I called late in the afternoon yesterday and they were here this morning. They fixed the sink, installed a new sump pump and pipes and added supports that I had not had before. They discovered an issue with the downstairs bathroom and fixed that also. They were competent, neat, and friendly. Would definitely recommend them."

"Prompt, courteous, reasonably priced, and fast! And several pricing options were clearly explained. I'd heard good things about them. They have been around a long time. We felt very confident in the price and resulting work. If I ever need a plumber again, I will call Wyattworks Plumbing."

"Very professional, helpful, good work. Made sure we weren't left "hanging." Had to get a pump replaced for our well. Did the job in 2 days but at the end of the first day they made sure we had water with a temporary setup. The specialized electrician came first thing the next day to finalize and get us up to code. It was expensive but it is no matter who does it. We also needed are hot water heater replaced. They gave us a deal for that as well since we set it up within 30 days of replacing the pump. Liked the company and the guys who came out."

"I've used these folks for years. Each time they have performed to my expectations (ie, fix the problem). They are friendly, professional, and, best of all, they don't leave a mess. Their cost is about average for the area."

Small jobs welcome

"I contacted four different plumbers for this job. Only rescue rooter was customer oriented enough to come out to the house, inspect the issue, give a written estimate and then gave me follow up contact. Even gave a discount if my neighbor chose to have the work done too (he did) Two of the others merely gave an oral approximate estimate over the phone, and one never returned my call."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

When it comes to PEX versus copper, you'll find that many plumbers prefer PEX, which doesn’t corrode or allow for sediument buildup and is less likely to burst under freezing conditions. PEX is also flexible, so your pro won’t need to install joints to create certain angles. Provided it’s up to local codes, your plumber can also snake PEX through smaller holes in the wall without making additional cuts.

The cost to fix a leaky pipe ranges depending on location—the easier the pipe is to access, the less expensive the repair will be. Because a leaky pipe under the sink is typically an exposed pipe, this is one of the least expensive repairs for a plumber to do, often costing between $150 to $300 to fix, on average.

Excessive pressure (above 80 psi) puts too much stress on plumbing pipes, joints, and fixtures. This can lead to leaks and burst pipes. Plus, it shortens the lifespan of appliances, can waste water, and can raise your utility bills. High water pressure might feel like a gift, but it’s actually a silent threat to plumbing.

Building codes don’t allow homeowners or businesses to run sewer pipes and water lines in the same trench for safety and environmental purposes. If the sewer line started leaking, it would risk contaminating the water supply to your house, which threatens the health of you and your family. These lines need to be in separate trenches and may need to be separated both horizontally by around 5 to 10 or more feet and vertically by 12 to 18 or more inches.

Yes, because any trapped moisture can have a negative impact on the integrity of the wall or façade of the building. Per the 2015 International Residential Code and Commentary: “Weepholes shall be provided in the outside wythe of masonry walls at a maximum spacing of 33 inches (838 mm) on center. Weepholes shall be not less than 3/16 inch (5 mm) in diameter. Weepholes shall be located immediately above the flashing.”
