"Absolutely amazed by the work performed by Heights Pest Control. I have been using their services for 2 years now and they never disappoint. They actually reached out to me in regards to my seasonal treatment that needed to be completed because I had forgot to schedule the appointment. They performed their first of two yearly pest control treatments. They applied a residual liquid treatment around my foundation, windows, and doors both on the interior and exterior. They also cleaned the old cobwebs around my house and refilled the mouse bait stations. All of this was done while I was going about my normal day in the comfort of my house and took about 90 minutes. I look forward to my next treatment in early fall."

"Very thorough. Came at 10pm when I simply called to leave a message that there was a squirrel in the basement. Now that's service. He set up an inline live trap and was done by 1030. Caught squirrel this morning and they came to take it away immediately."

"There was a very quick response. Mr Lewis made arrangements to have my rooms sprayed the same afternoon. Both techs who did the job were wonderful. They were very respectful of my things and were very efficient. They were very upbeat about their jobs. Best nights sleep I had in weeks! I highly recommend them for their work and their dedication."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

While there are plenty of DIY home remedies for pests, trapping and fumigation costs are worth the investment when dealing with a serious infestation that is hard to get rid of, like termites,  bed bugs, or mice.

DIY traps and sprays might help eliminate a few ants or the occasional mouse, but they're no match for a full-blown infestation. Call an extermination pro to locate where pests hide, how to treat the issue at the source, and how to keep it from returning.

A squirrel in a chimney may sound like gnawing since they like to chew through a wide range of materials. You may also hear a persistent scratching sound if they’re trapped inside and unable to get out themselves. Other evidence of a squirrel in your chimney includes holes on or around your chimney as well as droppings or damage to roof shingles or wiring.

Mud tubes, wood damage, and swarming are typical indicators.

According to the National Pesticide Information Center, there aren’t any insect repellents registered for use against bed bugs that can be put on your skin. Some people may utilize diluted essential oils on their skin to try to repel bed bugs, but this is not considered effective for remedying the problem. The best way to repel bed bugs is to treat them with a non-toxic method to rid them from your home.

Allowing wolf spiders to reside in your home can have benefits, as they serve as natural exterminators, preying on insects and pests that could become problematic. Their presence can help keep your residence relatively free of nuisance insects such as flies, ants, and cockroaches, reducing the need for chemical pesticides. Wolf spiders are generally not hostile towards humans, and their bites, although painful, usually don't result in a significant medical concern. If you can coexist peacefully with these spiders and recognize their role in maintaining a balanced ecosystem within your household, they can contribute to a healthier and pest-reduced environment.
