It went well. Mike was very helpful and explained everything as he went along. Very informative and super passionate about the job. He even looked at a couple more things for us and gave us some estimates for them. Would def hire again, well actually plan on hiring again.

Thomas & Sons Plumbing Service

We bought our home, which was built in 1901, in the summer of 2021. Two months later, our main sewer line started backing up into the basement. We spent the next month going through five different plumbing companies, spending thousands of dollars on all manner of recommended fixes, none of which solved the problem. Eventually, several of these companies told us that the problem was an old house trap that was completely blocked. The estimates to dig it up and replace it ranged from 10-15 thousand dollars. Needless to say, we felt this was a ridiculous amount of money and thought there had to be another solution. We were then put in touch with Tim Thomas. I was told to give Tim a chance because he was an honest guy, and even if he couldn’t fix our problem, he wouldn’t overcharge me if we had to dig up the trap. Tim came out that week and spent almost two hours analyzing the situation. Much to my surprise, he told me that the digging, which all the other companies told me was absolutely the only way to fix our problem, would not be necessary. He said that he could clean the old trap out and get our line flowing to the street. I must admit that I was a little skeptical, but Tim seemed like such and honest and earnest individual, I decided to give him a shot. I figured we had nothing to lose, and it beats the h*** out of 10-15k right? Tim’s solution took several visits, and I don’t want to give away any of his trade secrets but he eventually got the trap open. This is where the plot thickens. Little did we know, but we were actually dealing with two problems. About six months after he got the trap open, the line backed up on us again. Tim came out again, and we discovered that the main line had collapsed under the street. If you haven’t ever gone through this type of situation, then be prepared because convincing SD-1 that there is something wrong on their end of the sewer line is not easy: It takes a Herculean effort of time, patience, and arm-twisting. Because he is such a good person, Tim took it upon himself to get involved and eventually through his knowledge was able to convince SD-1 that the problem was on their end. I cannot understate how difficult it was to convince the SD-1 people to recognize that the problem was under the street, but Tim was able to do it. Sure enough, they confirmed that the sewer line had completely collapsed under the street, and they came out a week later to replace it. We have not had any problems since. None of this would have happened without Tim’s involvement. To say that Tim is an honest businessman would be the understatement of the century. He is the most honest contractor I have ever worked with for any reason, and I have worked with many over the years of home ownership. He will tell you straight up what he can do to fix your problem. Tim’s honesty and integrity are not the only reasons to hire him. He is a true expert, or I would say genius of his trade. The majority of plumbing companies out there today are simply in the business of replacing parts. Much like the mechanics who no longer fix car problems but just replaces old parts with new, these modern plumbing companies want to charge people exorbitant amounts of money to replace sewer lines, etc., partly because they know the customers are ignorant and at their mercy but also because they no longer practice the “art of plumbing.” In contrast, Tim practices the “art of plumbing”, meaning he actually tries to repair or fix the existing plumbing. Tim is a rare commodity in this culture as he still practices a trade that has become a lost art in our culture of quick fixes and fast money. Tim is a one man show, so you must be patient. It took about six months to eventually resolve our problem, but in reality, we were also dealing with two problems, the trap and the collapsed line. If you want a quick fix, call one of these big plumbing companies and let them take you for a ride. You will likely get the quick fix you are looking for, but it might bankrupt you in the process. However, if you are willing to be patient and let Tim work his magic, then he will amaze you while saving you thousands of dollars in the process. I cannot recommend Tim enough, especially if you find yourself in a similar situation. Call Tim Thomas today

Plumb Tite was extremely responsive. Both the office staff and technicians were very polite. They were able to get a technician out to my house within hours of my initial call! A quote was given before any services were performed. The quote was comparable to other plumbers in the area. Addionally, after services were completed the office staff followed up to ensure I was satisfied with the services provided. Overall I was impressed with the professionalism and responsiveness of Plumb Tite and I would both recommend and use their services again

Tony's Drain Cleaning

Tony's was recommended to us by multiple friends after we had a horrible experience with Roto Rooter. Tony's 2-man crew fixed a clogged sewer pipe within an hour after we were told by Roto Rooter that there was something preventing the snake from going through and we would need a camera to diagnose the bigger issue. Mike from Tony's actually told us that the plumber from Roto Rooter had been snaking the WRONG PIPE. Cost for this fix was a very reasonable $280 (vs. the $415 that Roto Rooter wanted). We will sing Tony's praises to everyone we can

I think it went well. Was a little concerned when tech pointed out areas where there might be an issue because of high water pressure only to be told later that the water pressure was normal. I did notice that there were some dirty tracks on carpet where machine was rolled up and down stairs. I think that the booties that are put on the wheels might be being reused and they are dirty to begin with

This supplier is a golden find! They’ve dug up our basement and replaced pipes, fixed broken toilets, installed new sink, faucet & disposal, fixed our water pressure issues in a 71 year old house and most recently got our 35 year old AC air handler operational to get us thru the brutal summer. Thanks to everyone at Schneller and Knochelman

Well, I wish this wasn't happening, but since it is I am glad I called these guys. Sewage was coming out of an opening near the curb in front of my house. SD1 is not happy when this happens. I called Schneller as they had previously (2016) done a video inspection of the system. That was an Angie's list "big deal" that seemed like a good idea given the age of this house. I had a good experience with them (then) and decided to call them for this much bigger problem. They came out - used the camera again, snaked the line as far as possible, and looked again with camera. NO CHARGE. Unfortunately, the second video indicated a blockage near the street. I had them come back a second time to jackhammer up my driveway, install a surface cleanout, snake some more and then cover and concrete up the hole. There is still something happening near the curb, but that is now in the hands of the city and SD1. Three men spent most of the day working on this. They were punctual, conscientious, and completely professional. I hope I don't need a plumber in the future - but if so - I will be calling Schneller

"Patrick was punctual, arriving before our designated appointment. He was easy to talk to and explained everything as he went through the inspection. He showed us the approximate location of our sanitary line starting from inside the house going out into the city sewer line at the street. He was very professional and a delight to talk to. He also played some good music during the inspection as background noise for the sewer line inspection video. He is not a plumber so he offers a non-biased opinon as he is not seeking to upcharge for additional work. We recieved a detailed multi picture (20+) report and url link the inspection video via Youtube. We would definately hire Patrick again for this service.
