"Fraud Alert - Custom Comfort hires liars and unskilled workers. I recently called on Christmas Eve only due to the fact that with the weather and it being Christmas Eve, I knew it would be hard to get someone out to look at my furnace. One worker (Andre) came out for over two hours and could not figure out what was wrong with the furnace. He went out and came back with a part he did not know how to install or if it would work (which was another 2 hours trying to install) so he called his manager (Brian). At no point did the worker or the manager state if they installed the part they would still charge me for it if it didn’t work. His manager Brian (who was extremely smelly) came out and the part was installed but the furnace still did not work. Then the manager Brian said I would need a new furnace all of a sudden because there was a crack in the heat exchanger and left on Christmas Eve without the furnace working. How you could work on a furnace and not see a crack for over 4 hours is hard to believe. I called another heating company and they came out were are able to fix the issue in 10 minutes. I did not have a crack in the heat exchanger, did not need any parts and do not need a new furnace. Custom Comfort lies and does not have experienced workers. Obviously I will never call Custom Comfort again and I reported them to the Better Business Bureau for fraud."

If there are pipes that require a wrap, your installer should have done it for you already.   • Burners aren’t properly aligned.

  • Food debris is clogging the burners.

  • Hose connections may be blocked.

  • Burners may not be getting enough gas.

  • Gas valve is not working properly. 

If you’re experiencing any of those problems with your gas grill, hire a local grill repair professional to inspect your grill for issues and implement a plan to resolve them.

The right way to vent a gas water heater is to have a pipe directly upward or slopes upward out of the house. Because hot air naturally rises, this type of venting will efficiently ensure that all gas moves out of the house. Your system may rely on fans or blowers as well.

Shut-off valves, like any other piece of metal hardware, can corrode, age, get worn down, and eventually break or rust into place. Occasionally spray your shut-off valve with WD-40 to stall it from rusting. If it really gets stuck, a wrench and WD-40 will usually do the trick, but you will need to call a plumber if it’s completely unmovable.

Natural gas companies advise only shutting off the gas supply at the meter yourself if you smell natural gas or suspect there is a leak, typically following an emergency.
