Apparently this man's job to break into the home of the seller, unannounced and without permission or an appointment. Then he will condescend you and forbid you to make the simplest of improvements to your own home you're trying to sell. Even though they are the improvements that the buyer asked you to make. They should change the name of the company to "Boardman Home Invasion" as it seems more accurate to me. Anne Is amazing though, 10 stars for Anne's Management! How doe she do it? She's basically the Michael Jordan of managers.

The Agent, Dave was early and ready to set up the test. He was very knowledgeable and thorough in his explanation of the test and the results. Although the house tested positive for Radon, it was comforting to know that something could be done about it. I feel a lot safer due to Dave's inspection and the fact that a system will be put inlace to rid my home of the dangerous gas.

Dave, the owner, is the best in the business.He is extremely thorough and identifies potential issues that most others would overlook. The extensive data from the report that is generated from the inspection speaks volumes of his extensive knowledge of homes. Dave actually saved us a few thousand dollars by properly pinpointing things in the home that had to be replaced or repaired. His fee was money well spent and was definitely worth every dollar. Dave works for you and enables you to make an informed decision on the biggest purchase in your lifetime, which is a home.

David completed a thorough inspection of a house I wanted to purchase. He looked at every component and system from the roof to the basement & foundation both inside and out. He pointed out any areas of concern, as well as the positive aspects. His report was delivered in a timely manner, via email that same day & through the mail a few days later. I would definitely hire again.

David was on time, organized and ready to go when he arrived. He did a very thorough inspection from the basement to the attic & roof. He gave us detailed notes and pictures of everything he felt needed brought to our attention. As he went, he made suggestions and was very willing to answer any questions. After he finished the inspection, David sat with us & went over some of the main issues he found, which was great to know while we were still at the house. He emailed the report later that evening and we received the actual paper report in the mail a few days later. Great job & experience overall.

I initially used Boardman Home Inspection when I bought my home. I was so pleased that I have used the company to inspect each of the three rental properties I've purchased. Dave is friendly but also professional, thorough, and prompt. His report usually arrives via email the same evening as the inspection and a hard copy comes in the mail a few days later. When I'm ready for another property, I'll call Dave.

Excellent! This is my 4th home purchase and best home inspection. Scheduling was quick and easy. Inspector was prompt, professional and personable. He explained what he was going to be doing and answered any questions we had before beginning. The thoroughness of his inspection was commendable! After inspection we were asked if we had any more questions and again they were easily answered. The inspection report came to us by email that day with detailed explanations of everything and pictures to accompany it. We also got a paper copy mailed to us within a few days. We had a few follow up questions for David that he answered. This inspection was the most thorough, detailed, and professional that we have had. Not to mention the inspector, David Shevel, was very knowledgable, friendly and welcoming to the area. We would recommend this company to anyone needing a home inspection. It was truly an excellent experience with a company from start to finish.

Dave is a great inspector, he's an ASHI certified inspector, carries E&O insurance, and is very passionate about his line of work. I purchased a home inspection, pest inspection, and radon testing and received electronic and hard copies of the reports within 24 hours, he even hand delivered the hard copies to my home! Dave found multiple high dollar issues with home (roof, electrical, plumbing, and high radon results), which definitely covered the cost of the inspection.

I called Dave on a Sunday and received an answer/schedule that same day.
He was courteous, prompt, and the end report was very thorough. Dave took the time to explain the readings to me as well as discuss things I should be considering with regards to Radon in our home. Being a new, inexperienced homeowner, I appreciated him taking the time to step through everything with me and help me make good decisions for the long-term health of my home and most importantly, my family.

I was very impressed with Dave's service. I live in another state and am buying a house in Ohio. He conducted a very thorough home inspection and produced a detailed report with pictures that let me know all about the ins and outs of my new home. I feel very confident in both Dave's skills and I appreciate his willingness to work with me over the phone and email.

Dave was very pleasant to speak to on the phone and was able to schedule the appointment quickly. He met with my husband and went over everything and gave him some tips on how to remedy some of the issues. We received a very nice report the next day with all of the information and color pictures.

Dave was punctual, courteous and professional. He answered questions and provided pertinent advice about maintaining an older home [built in 1926].  His advice and observations were thorough and worded in language that a non-technical person could understand.  I am glad I had the inspection done.

Seemed a little gruff on the phone, but was absolutely pleasant in person. Very friednly. Allowed me to walk with him and shared knowledge and suggestions along the way. Our parents made a surprise vist and he was verry cordial and invited them along. Very pleased. We received a spiral bound printing of our detailed report that included an abundance of pictures to illustrate each part of the inspection.

David Shevel was very punctual and arrived early to my arranged appointment time. He was extremely friendly and answered every question I had as we walked through every room of the house I was purchasing. He explained areas he would suggest that we ( me and my boyfriend) might want to get serviced and/or looked at to prolong some of the older systems in the home. David was very thorough: he moved the stove to check for rodents, ran the washer machine to make sure it worked, walked around on the roof looking for soft spots, he also used his thermography tools to check out a few older water stained areas around the home for current moisture issues. We left the inspection feeling that we were purchasing a solid home and that we made a friend out of David. David stressed repeatedly to contact him if we ever had any other questions about our home or the inspection.

On time, set the test up, explained to me what would happen, came back 48 hours later and pick up the test results.

David Shevel is probably the best, nicest, most qualified and professional home inspector we have ever met!  He arrived before us on the day of the inspection and had already begun his work.  He thoroughly covered all areas of the home, from roof top to basement to all crawl spaces.  Nothing was missed.  He explained things to us while he worked and he encouraged us to ask as many questions as  we wanted.  When making a home purchase, you really want to feel comfortable that you have covered all bases, no matter the cost!  He even employs the use of thermal imagery to detect things that you cannot see with the naked eye, like the water damage from some roofing leaks that he identified in this home, that we never would have been aware of otherwise!  We feel that no home inspection would uncover these things without the use of an infrared camera!  Very important!
In the end, we were provided with a very impressive and detailed report complete with pictures and analysis of all areas of the home.  He sent the report via email the very same day in a pdf file, which is so very useful because you can blow up the pictures to take a closer look at things, particularly items that are in need of maintenance or fixing.  He followed this up with a hard copy which he hand delivered in person the day the radon test was complete.  Even days later, he happily took our calls over the weekend and answered some additional questions we had after reviewing his report.  He could have easily let the calls go to voicemail, but David is not that kind of guy!
We HIGHLY recommend that you hire Boardman Home Inspection and David Shevel for your home inspection needs!  Like us, you will be so glad you did!  Simply the best!

Wow, what a quick turnaround by Mr. Shevel!!  The WDI inspection was to be scheduled by the seller of our future home about 2 weeks prior.  After I received my mortgage application documents to sign and send back to my lender (I had 2 days to do this), I was told that our application could not move forward until a copy of the WDI report was included.  The inspection hadn't been scheduled yet.  Yikes.  The very next morning, I called Mr. Shevel to schedule an appointment - he came out, inspected and emailed me the report all within a couple of hours turnaround the same day!  I have previously written another review of Mr. Shevel posted on here regarding our general home inspection and radon test.  Once again, I would highly recommend David Shevel for your home inspections!
