"I had two tubs resurfaced in apartments and the tubs look great. Workers showed up on time and worked as expected. Main office was very responsive to any questions I had. I would have given 5 stars but they damaged a wood trim piece near the floor in one bathroom and in the other, the tape they used to seal off around the tub pulled loose the outer layer of painted drywall when they removed the tape. I questioned these two things on final inspection and was told I could touch up the wood with a touch-up stick and he claimed he didn't cause the issue with the drywall. I just know it wasn't like that before he came."

"We hired MB Link to refinish two cast iron bathtubs in June of 2015. Initially the tubs looked great. As recommended, they were only cleaned with non abrasive soap. One year later the substance used to finish the tub (the enamel paint) began to peel off at the drain in both tubs. Our tenants asked to wait until they moved out to have the tubs fixed due to their concerns with exposure to chemicals. When I called the company to ask about a potential warranty or fix for the problem, the response was that there was nothing they could do and there was no warranty. After some time, the company has agreed to come out and fix both bathtubs. I am hopeful that there will be a positive outcome."

"Be Blessed remodeled most of the bathroom; they replaced the floor, repaired leaks in the ceiling and installed a new fan, replaced the toilet, hung a wall cabinet, installed a new double vanity and upgraded the plumbing, and fixed many imperfections in the walls and ceilings and then painted. Everything is beautiful and their attention to detail and things right impressed us a great deal, as well as their commitment to completing the job in a timely manner. We wish we had hired them to complete the new shower as well. The bathroom is beautiful and we couldn't be happier. We will definitely hire them for more home improvements, especially when it comes time to do a complete remodel for our kitchen."

"Phil was wonderful to work with. I made changes along the way and he very respectfully gave me options. He gave us an estimate of time, materials and labor. The time did run over somewhat. He’s a kind, family man and has many skills that any homeowner would find useful. I would not hesitate to recommend him."

"Herry and the Slinc team did a great job with my bathroom remodel project. They remodeled my half bath and guest bath. Jerry helped me select the best bathroom fixtures, furniture, toilets, mirrors, flooring and paint for the job. They worked with me to make sure the project met my needs. I am really happy with both remodeled bathrooms."

Tub Shower Conversion questions, answered by experts

Yes, a toilet, sink, and shower can share the same vent. This is a common plumbing practice that can simplify installation and save space. When sharing a vent, it's important that the toilet is located downstream from all other fixtures. You will also need to ensure the vent pipe is large enough to handle the demands of all connected fixtures without compromising its effectiveness. Because requirements can vary, you should always check your local building and plumbing codes. Consulting a qualified plumber is recommended to ensure the vent is properly sized, installed, and adheres to all local regulations.

If you plan to make bathroom updates in the near future, try to lump in a few smaller projects with your shower door installation. Most contractors charge a flat rate for smaller projects like updating a fixture. If you lump it in with other projects, you may not have to pay an additional visit fee. Projects to consider doing when you replace your shower door include: Replacing the tile in your shower Updating the showerhead Updating other bathroom fixtures Minor repairs, like fixing small leaks and worn caulk Installing water-safe recessed lighting in your shower

Medicare does not typically cover the cost of a walk-in shower. The federal health insurance program considers a walk-in shower to be a home alteration rather than a medical necessity, even though walk-in showers would assist many people who are eligible for Medicare. Medicare Advantage Plans and Medicaid are more likely to cover the cost of a walk-in shower. It’s not a guarantee, even with a letter from a physician, and if reimbursement is authorized, it usually comes after the individual pays the upfront installation fee.

A shower pan's lifespan can range from 10 to 45 years, depending on the material. As a preventative measure, it's recommended to replace your shower pan every 10 to 15 years to avoid degradation, water leaks, and mold problems. A pan's lifespan can be shortened by incorrect installation, but proper cleaning can help extend it. You should replace your shower pan immediately if you notice clear signs of failure, such as visible cracks, water spilling onto the bathroom floor, moisture stains on adjacent walls or the ceiling below, or any movement, buckling, or warping in the pan when you step on it.

You can install a shower pan liner over plywood using the steps outlined above. However, before pouring the mortar pre-slope or installing a premanufactured slope product, check the condition of the plywood. The subfloor should be stable, level, and free of rot or other damage. You’ll need to repair damaged sections before pouring the mortar.
