"We got several quotes from local HVAC providers / installers. We felt the most comfortable with the salesman from Extreme One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning and I got the best price from them which also included a 2-year membership in their Comfort Club (Spring and Fall service visits to check and tune-up my system). We were an all electric home until a couple of years ago when we added natural gas. When our 16-year old Trane heat pump developed problems this proved an ideal time to switch over to a gas furnace and air conditioner. We stayed with Trane as we were happy with our Trane heat pump. Because we have some space constraints and limitations for our new system, Extreme sent out their system designer the day before the installation to develop a creative solution that met our requirements and efficiently maximized the space with which they had to work with minimum impacts to us. The day of the install they arrived on time, were friendly but very professional and treated our home as if it was their own. They also took the time to answer my questions while the worked. Since it was bitter cold that day, they needed to be in and out all day, and we were without a heating system most of the day, they brought a heavy duty space heater to keep us from freezing until they were done. At completion, showed us how to use the new system including the new programmable thermostat, changing filters, etc. and they cleaned up everything and left our home better than they found it. They then submitted all of our rebate paperwork to Vectren and DP&L for us. We were very impressed with the whole process of buying and installing a complete new HVAC system. I highly recommend Extreme One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning for and HVAC installation work!"

"We have been customers of Watkins for a few years, but this is our first review on them. They are super friendly and do great work. A few years ago, they were able to help us get us a new furnace in a timely fashion when ours died in the middle of winter (it was really old). At that time, they noticed the AC was not installed correctly and not up to code (previous owner). We also knew the water heater was next to go, but were able to hold off until this year. Our new AC had a part go bad this year, but they were able to come out quick and repair pretty quick (and no charge). We are very pleased with all the work and highly recommend them!"

His team sought our feedback on every decision made right down to the routes the outside lines took to make sure they were as integrated as possible. Even though the job was difficult as our house is a three-story brick house with terra cotta blocks in the walls and metal where you would think metal shouldn't be, all of them remained positive, helpful and really excellent. "They were very good with initial response, estimate, and install date. The quality of the install was mediocre; attention to detail, not so much. They did not worry too much about cleanup after the job, several examples of that; I have un-removable black goo on my driveway. There was supposed to be a two week follow-up visit and I was going to address some of my questions and issues then but was scheduled twice and did not occur either time, no call no show the second time. I realize this all occurred during a peak time of year. The unit does work without difficulty and we are happy to have HVAC but I will probably go with another company for service and maintenance.

"Kirk arrived and listened carefully to our problem and what had been done to date.  He diagnosed the possible problems, and thought that he could fix the unit rather than replacing it.  We had proposals to fully change out our system:  not one heating and cooling company was interested in working on the unit to repair it.  Kirk analyzed the potential problems and systematically tested the outside unit thoroughly.  We repaired the unit, vs. replacing it, and saved us thousands of dollars.  He is a pleasure to work with, and I will recommend his company to everyone I meet.  Honorable, hard working and trustworthy.  Most highly recommended!!
