"I needed a quick turnaround wallpaper removal/new paint job for my mom?s room as I was in town for a short time. Five Star Painting got it done? a two-day, amazing transformation of her room! The FSP team moved the furniture away from the walls, taped all down airtight, and removed the old wallpaper and chair rail. They cleaned the *entire* work area so my mom was able to sleep in her own bed that night. Second day, they sanded down the dings, cracks, and imperfections in the walls, and had them freshly painted? in addition to the ceiling and closet ?by the end of the day! It looks like brand new drywall! They cleaned every speck of dust from their work area! The FSP team was always on time, worked fast, but also efficiently and professionally. I will definitely call FSP when my parents are ready to tackle the rest of the wallpaper in their other rooms. I highly recommend FSP for wallpaper removal and paint jobs. "I took advantage of the $399 special for 16 man hours of work (8 hours of 2-man work). Steve and his assistant did a very good job of removing the old (peeling and mouldy) wallpaper and spackling and painting the walls and woodwork. They were very up front about the what they would be doing and the cost. The special was just for one day and because the spackle had to dry, they had to come back a second day to do the wall and ceiling painting which cost an additional $340. Even though they did not need the full 16 hours to do the wallpaper removal and the spackling, I used part of that time to have them paint all the cabinets, woodwork around the window and bathroom door. Still, I think it was a good deal. We provided the paint (I bought Behr premium paint since it gets the best reviews on Consumer Reports). They did a clean, professional job including the cleanup and I am very happy with how everything turned out. This was a job I could have done myself, but it would have taken me much longer and these guys did a much better job than I could (this is their profession, after all), so it was worth every penny. And the bathroom looks great!"

I contacted Them to wallpaper a 54 inch by 54 inch by 8ft half bath. I was going to have everything in the little bath removed. I was also going to do the prep work; which included painting the little ceiling and removing the border. All he had to do was hang the wallpaper. I had everything he needed. The wallpaper is a simple drop match. In addition, there are really only three walls. The door takes up most of one of the walls. The job could have been completed in less than four hours. I wallpapered for 30years. I had him peg as being slick two minutes after he walked into my house. He spent to much time looking around in my house. I suspect that he was trying to figure out just how high he jack the price. The job was so simple that he could have emailed me the estimate the next day, but he did not. After two days I started emailing saying that I am waiting for the estimate, he would respond with oh its coming. However, he still had not mailed it to me. I kept emailing him, and he kept saying that its coming. Until the last time I emailed him, and he responded by saying that he mailed. I responded by saying that makes no sense, and I said why didn?t you just email me the quote instead of putting it in the mail. He then responded by saying he didn?t have my email address. Really!! My first contact with this company was via email, and ever subsequent contact was via email. Lastly, I replied my saying all you had to do was return the email; just like you have in the past. He knew he was up to no good. He was clearly tying to take advantage!!! The so called trades people on Angie?s List of some of shadiest and slickest people I think that I have ever encountered. The old corner gas stations ran themselves out of business with the same kind of behavior. It is lost, because I had intended to have a lot of interior work done this up coming year.

Rainy weather had delayed other jobs, but there was a real lack of communication as to what was going on and when. Finally got the work finished and it does look good. On the fence about calling them for future work."
