The rooms Mark and his grandson completed for us look AMAZING! I met with James for the quote initially and he was very kind and courteous, explained how the project would be approached and answered all of my many questions. We had just moved into the home the weekend after prep/demo work was completed and Mark and his grandson were very communicative and conscientious about what work would be taking place that day and cleaning up at the end of each day, which we greatly appreciated as we were living and working remotely downstairs while they primarily worked upstairs. I greatly appreciated how knowledgable, skillful, and personable everyone from Rubber City Drywall was - it is a great family-owned business and we hope to hire them again soon!

James and his father did a fantastic job repairing the drywall in our home. They went above and beyond to make sure everything is smooth - from damage done by the kids to settling cracks and nail pops, everything is now ready to be primed and painted.

From the time I first met James, the owner of Rubber City Drywall, until the work was started and finished by his talented Father, Doug, I was really impressed by the dedication to customer satisfaction that was showed by both of these Gentlemen. Doug showed up all 5 days he was in my home on time, went right to work, and make my walls look like new. I would highly recommend this Company to anyone looking for drywall repair. Their fees were quite reasonable and they fit my small job right into their busy schedule. They treat you like family, their prices are reasonable, and they get the job done beautifully. What more could you ask for?

Rubber City Drywall is the absolute best contractor I have ever worked with and we have worked with many, building 5 homes over the years and doing many large remodeling projects. James, the owner and founder is super nice, super organized and very communicative. When he says he will be there, he is there! His father and step son are part of the crew and it is a great family run business. We loved them all. They were very neat and cleaned up meticulously. Dad sands so well it was dustless. At the end of the job I gave JAMES a big hug as he had become a good friend over the time he spent on my project.

Called about a drywall job. Was told by spokesperson he would call me back later that day or the next day to set up time to view job for an estimate. It's been 5 days and no contact from them. I even left a message with them on 4th day . At least have the courtesy of telling me not interested.

I spoke with James several days ago. To begin with, his attitude was poor and he was very condescending. I felt like I was bothering him with my call. However, we spoke about getting an estimate for some drywall work. He asked if he could stop over at that moment. I was leaving my home for awhile so he said he would call me later that day after another job. Upon my return home, I made myself available just in case he wanted to stop over that evening. I received no call that day or after. If a contractor doesn't want the job, why not tell the customer that initially? This company has very poor customer service.

James came out after hours same day for a large hole repair. High quality work for an absolutely fair price. He was extremely professional personable. James even gave me a quick lesson on the matearials and products he was using for the type of job. Overall this company deserves A+

Rubber City Drywall tore down my damaged ceiling, hauled away and replaced. The price was fair and the time estimate was spot on. They protected all the walls and floor, and the finished product was perfect. James and Dad were friendly and knowledgeable, and I would recommend them.

He put enverything he had into the job. He lived up to his estimate as it was written. Never met such an honest contractor before. Would not hesitate to hire them again.

They were great. James, his father and son worked well together. They were on time everyday and kept me updated each morning of what they hoped to get done and then before they left they would tell me what they planned on getting done the next day. They did such a good job I hired them to drywall my rec room in my basement. I highly recommend them.

My husband and I are building our own home. We received a quote from rubber city drywall the beginning of December to finish the drywall, all materials were purchased by us. It was very reasonable due to the fact the owner said he "respected what we were doing", building our own home and he said "we were the type of people he liked to help out". We waited several weeks for him to start only to have him call last week and request half of the money up front so he could "make his payroll". We told him that we were not comfortable paying him half the money upfront but could give him a portion. For anyone who ever decides to become their own general contractor, take great caution when someone asks you for half the money up front. We have worked with many subcontractors throughout this process, framers, concrete, heating and cooling, and excavators. No one has ever asked us for money up front, with the exception of the first sub we ever worked with for asphalt delivery and he took our money and ran. We had no recourse to get our money back. Every other contractor completed the work than asked for payment. Rubber city drywall called two days before they were supposed to start work and backed out because he stated "he didn't feel as though we had confidence in him because we wouldn't pay him up front". That doesn't even make sense. We've now wasted a month waiting on him and must restart the process of finding a contractor. Terrible businessman and very suspicious that he was that desperate to make his payroll he needed our money before he started the job.

James and associates did an excellent job and the walls and ceiling look great! James was great to work with. The crew showed up when promised, kept me informed throughout the job, and took care to keep the area as neat and clean as possible. There was one section where texture had to be blended to match the stairway walls and James made it look great! Highly recommended.

Great! We now have smooth walls! It was a big job. Took 10 weekdays, but they were here everyday to get the job done, and we could not be happier with the results!

James Sellers and crew were first class from the beginning. James thoroughly explained what he intended to do and executed it expertly. The end result were incredibly smooth ceilings with no hint of previous texture. I honestly was astounded at what he was able to do. On a separate note, we were having wallpaper removed at the same time. After taking the paper down, a few problem areas came to light. Even though this wasn't what we hired James to do, he patched these trouble spots and put our minds at ease, preparing the walls for easy painting. And finally, he returned a few days after the main work was done (on a weekend) to patch a few additional areas at no additional cost. I cant imagine a better person to work with or entrust with a drywall/plaster project. He is honest, prompt and a man of his word.

This is the second time I've used Rubber City Drywall, so I knew the quality of work I was getting.It went very well. James explained to me what he was going to do and why, and they came in and did their work. James communicated very well. The crew was timely, neat, and organized.

The service and professionalism were great. I had thought my ceiling could not be fixed before speaking with James, but it looks better than it ever did. Rubber City Drywall has an amazing team! The job was done professionally, completely, neatly and in a timely manner. They showed up on time, got the job done and charged an affordable fee! James, his father and his son did all the work. They were very polite and arrived on time every morning. They even moved my furniture from my attic to my sun porch for me and told me after it was painted and the carpet was installed they would come back and move it back upstairs if I needed them to. He would explain every day what they would be doing and tell me at the end of the day how much progress they had made. He told me it would take approximately 10 working days to complete the work and it took them 8 1/2. They are great workers and when they were finished we did a walk through and it looks great! I thought the price was very fair because my upstairs includes the walls going up the stairs, a hallway, a bedroom and the eaves which were also insulated.

After getting several quotes, I hired James and his team because they provided great service at a reasonable cost. They communicated well and were very knowledgeable about plaster repair & drywall. I plan to hire them again for an upcoming project.

I can't say enough good things about James and his guys @Rubber City Drywall. From our initial conversation thru two different projects they did an outstanding job. Great communications, realistic expectations, great looking finish, and a thorough clean up made working with them so easy. These guy handled all the tricky, awkward parts with ease, and the results looked great. Rubber City is doing all my drywall work from here on out!
