"Henry did a great job on our counters. Highly recommend for counter or cabinet work. He was on time and completed the job in 4 hours. Most places told us 3-4 days. Best experience ever with a contractor. Before and after"

"Great experience-we love our new bathroom! JCJ Builders and owner Jeff Jones did a very professional and fantastic job for us. Jeff designed the project, put together a game plan, (in writing) and brought the job in on schedule and on budget. All his guys and tradesmen were pro's, who worked extremely hard, yet were clean and cautious in our home. Jeff accommodated our 3 dogs and they looked forward to him coming in every morning , as we were having our coffee, and saying 'Good Morning', and petting each one. We also felt very appreciative of his candor in picking out colors, styles and fixtures, eye on the small details and the little extras he performed for us. Anyone looking for a Designer/Builder, General Contractor, Jeff Jones and JCJ get our highest of recommendations."

"Dave is a hard working and reliable contractor. He is timely and pleasant to work with and takes rightful pride in his fine work. He is organized with a clear plan and develops a quote for the project. This quote outlines all of the components of the work being done, and very reasonable as far as pricing. I found Dave thru a neighbor and I lived his work so much- so masterful, I knew we had to replicate for our space. We are sincerely blown away by his talent, work ethic, and really the quality of his work. Also, he has an eye for design and will share a helpful opinion when asked. 10/10. I will be recommending Dave to my friends, neighbors, and entire community. And I canâ t wait to use him for a long list of other projects."

"I highly recommend this company. They painted the interior of my house and did an excellent job. I am recommending them to friends and family and will be hiring Nick Koler to complete other painting jobs in my home."

"Brad Crawford of G Squared Custom Products and Services did a fantastic job installing crown and picture-frame molding and chair rails in our front hallway. He also painted the hall (and the rear entry hall and an interior hall) and painted our front door, which had been black, to a lovely shade of green. He also installed a new storm door, and last year he installed a stained-glass window in the transom over our front door. I highly recommend Brad for your fabricating and painting needs. Meticulous attention to detail, and he's a complete professional."

"Everything was great from start to end. Jeanette and Brayden were easy to talk to and straight to the point, they both made sure everything was to satisfaction and met my needs. Overall great service and I would definitely be looking forward to doing business again in the future for other projects. Communication was awesome !"

Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

In many homes, upper cabinets are installed with a 1- to 2-foot gap between the tops and the ceiling. However, many homeowners extend their cabinets to the ceiling to gain extra storage and a polished, built-in look.

Medicine cabinets are a convenient storage solution, but they’re not the only option. People often use alternatives like open shelving, recessed wall niches, freestanding cabinets, and mirrored bathroom vanities to replace traditional medicine cabinets. These offer storage space while allowing for a more customized and modern look in the bathroom.

The designs are different enough that a conversion would mean more or less fully replacing cabinets to switch between the two. However, if you really like the frameless look but you have face frame cabinets, you may be able to mimic the style by replacing your cabinet doors with full overlay ones.

Birch or maple plywoods have tight grain patterns and are dense species that hold up well over time and even in damp environments with proper sealing. These properties make them the most stable plywoods. Oak plywood is also an excellent option. However, care is necessary to ensure oak is well-sealed against moisture to ensure stability.

How much cheaper it is to replace your cabinet doors depends on your needs. If you’re looking to spruce up the look and feel of your kitchen, then you can make cosmetic adjustments to your existing doors, like installing new knobs or a fresh coat of paint. Cabinets can be some of the most costly parts of a kitchen remodel, but if there’s structural damage regarding your doors, then replacing them is your best option.
