"The workers and office staff were easy to talk to, well informed, courteous , and efficient. They performed a thorough inspection. Recommended and installed a stainless liner and cap for the furnace flue and a new damper on the fireplace flue. Their price was better than previous quotes and even set up a partial payment plan. I am very pleased with the work they did."

I'm 23 years old, I have a daughter, my parents are ex-military so they were very strict about the definition of cleanliness, I have cleaned people's homes from where it looked like there was no hope of entering with a never ending stench all the way back to a beautiful smelling home that's presentable to anyone. Every time I clean someone's home they always compliment my services and always seem shocked at how amazing I do and I can accommodate to each and every household based off of what each household does and doesn't allow in their homes. For instance if a service requires that they don't want me to use any harsh chemical cleaners in their home (for instance bleach) I can obtain plant based alternative cleaners for that specific job. I'm also told I have a very open and warming personality and approach but I can't prove that unless I'm hired for the job. But I would love to help clean your home or even fully renew it together. Don't hesitate to reach out, I'll be happy to help!

"It was so-so. When they came to look at the project, it turned out to be more expensive – like, $2800. They were timely on getting going on the project, but I wasn’t completely satisfied with all the workmanship. When they left, my expectation was that we’d walk around to inspect the final piece to see if I was satisfied – and that didn’t occur. I called the owner of the company, and he called my point person.  That person got in contact with me, came back out, and I showed him what I was unhappy with. He put in time doing repairs, and I expected that we’d walk around to inspect the work. Again, that didn’t occur. There were clumps of the mortar all along the edge on the ground and there was a great deal of dust that came up from them initially working to get the grout out. I believe it was their expectation that I’d clean up most of this – it got on the screens, windows, and all around the house. I would’ve asked them to clean it up, but I didn’t bother getting back in touch with the owner of the company after the 2nd episode. When I said I wasn’t pleased with the workmanship and the mortar: they left it as a clump instead of smoothing it around, and there were some areas that were left as gaps."

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

Chimney crowns are located above the final brick layer at the top of a chimney. It’s important to get regular chimney maintenance and inspection, because it is near impossible to spot chimney crown damage without getting on your roof.

Chimney caps may be installed by a few different professionals, including a chimney sweep or a mason that specializes in fireplaces and chimneys. A gas fireplace technician is the best person to install a chimney cap on a gas log fireplace vent to be sure the cap is appropriate for the application.

A chimney liner isn’t required for an outdoor fireplace; you don’t technically need one if the masonry chimney uses the proper dimensions and is built to code. However, a chimney liner does serve as a protective coating for the flue. Adding a liner could improve performance, safety, and durability. In short, while not necessary, it wouldn’t hurt.

A fireplace can take anywhere from a few hours to several weeks to remodel, depending on the complexity of the project. For example, for a simple paint job, you’ll spend very little time touching up your fireplace, while larger remodels that involve replacing or repairing a fireplace can take up to 4 weeks.

To maintain a stove, clean the stove, chimney, or vent regularly. You should also use seasoned wood or pellets. Schedule an annual professional inspection to ensure safety.
