Garden Partners was the perfect compliment to our needs and desires as it relates to landscape. Bernie and Tovah were very responsive and went out of their way to find the plants we wanted and help us install them. Mr. Smith assured me that the remaining beds would be weeded, the remaining ties removed, the crabapple limbed up and all the perennials deadheaded on the following Monday, the 11th. I was not home at the time any of the work was done. Upon return from work today, the 11th, I saw that the remaining work was done. I was pleased with MOST of the remaining work, but the deadheading of the perennials left a LOT to be desired. All of my Corieopsis were not deadheaded at all, it is perfectly obvious that most of what remains on the flower stalks is seed pods. My Fiesta daisies were not deadheaded, instead they were literally mowed flat to the ground, having ALL of the foliage and everything else removed, all I have left is root! It really looks as if they were weedwhacked flat to the ground. This is definitely not the proper treatment for daisies! My Sweet Williams were treated in the same fashion, however some of them were just left alone, and not deadheaded at all. I have another set of plants in back, Spoonleaf Yuccas. These are quite obviously dead and bloomed, having nothing but seed pods left, and they were left as is. The stalks on the dead flowers for these are about 2 inches in diameter, and very woody, so need to be cut off with a saw, or other sharp bladed instrument, and are about 4 feet tall, so they can't be easily missed.I have not contacted Mr. Smith about the issues with the deadheading. I'm not certain that a third time out here would do much but maybe damage more of my plants! At this point, I'm not certain that any of his team were supervised at all, or knew what plants were what. In addition to this, when they removed some of the bleeders from the crabapple tree, and 'weeded' the small circular bed around it, they pulled up all but one of my perennials that were planted there. They left a single coneflower, and pulled up about 6 snow on the mountains and 4 coral bells. I was willing to chalk up these as a minor issue, because at least the coral bells were hard to discern from the bleeders, but the snow on the mountain were pretty obvious as not being weeds.
On a more positive note. They did a nice job in removing the debris, railroad ties, and placing down the topsoil and grass seed, and the trees that they trimmed up look fine. They did a fine job with the removal of the lambs ear and the bishops weed as well. If they had handled my remaining perennials properly, I would have given them an A rating.
*Update* I'm not sure if they used old or substandard grass seed. We watered as instructed by the owner, for a 10 day period, watering once per day, only in the morning or evening, and very little seed actually sprouted. We now have a large area of weedy topsoil in our back yard, instead of a large area of weedy wood chips."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/oh/hiliard/yard-right-landscaping-llc-reviews-71769.htm"},"position":4},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Smith's Lawn Services","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"OH","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"MICHAL M."},"reviewBody":"The lawn looks great. I had $3000 of trees planted. I paid 1/2 up front 6 months before they were able to schedule a planting. Then, they were planted in mid-July during a hot weather spell. I was very diligent in tending to them. They replaced the 5 when they were dead in the spring. AGAIN... they went in late in...

Why work with us? Southern Grove Landscaping was established nineteen years ago, in 1986, by a graduate from Ohio State University who studied in depth what it takes to achieve perfection in your landscape surroundings. Award-winning landscapes do not just look good for one season -- an excellent landscape should transcend the season with plants chosen for our Ohio climate and accents of stonework and design variation that command attention. That's our specialty. While everyone thinks about flowers in the spring and mowing the grass in the summer, your yard needs special attention throughout the year: during the winter delicate plants should be wrapped or transferred inside; in the spring the landscaping always needs extra special care to make sure the plants and lawn start the year off right. Summer heat means that proper watering and fertilization are important to keep plants healthy, whereas in the fall, trees and shrubs begin to go dormant, so transplantation then preven ts shock to the plant and helps to ensure healthy new growth in the spring. We are pleased to announce our nineteenth anniversary of making Columbus and surrounding areas beautiful. We're humbled by the positive response we've had from our clients and we hope to make many more beautiful landscapes for you and your families to enjoy. Give us a call and we will meet with you for a free consultation at your convenience. ASSOCIATION Better Business Bureau
"Excellent! They were done in 3 days, and it looks wonderful. A little slow with communication and scheduling in the beginning, but remained professional and did a great job. I have recommended them several times to other neighbors and friends."

"Jesse Moore and his team are frankly amazing. I wish they did more than build patios and related work as I would hire them for everything. Quality people do quality work and are willing to adjust to meet the needs of the homeowner. This is the 3rd time I have personally used Moore Brothers for a patio. Each experience is better than the prior. We always seem to run into something unexpected. That is part of the process with large projects like a patio. What I always appreciate is their "we are here to make the customer happy" approach. This project was no different, and they made me more than happy. They communicate, they show up when they say, and they deliver a quality product with smiles on their faces. Finally, I trust that team at my home - even when I cannot be present. That is a testament to Jesse's hiring and the quality people with whom he surrounds himself. THANKS for another great experience."

FAQs for plant watering projects in Galloway, OH
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Lawn irrigation is the process of getting water to your lawn, grass and all, for it to grow. There are five main types of lawn irrigation methods:
Manual irrigation puts you in charge of the flow of water. Using a sprinkler head on your hose is best to evenly distribute the water across your entire lawn. This doesn’t take much time but requires you to be physically outside holding the hose.
Above-ground sprinklers attach to your hose and rotate or oscillate around your lawn. Since these are above-ground, they’ll need to be moved when it’s time to mow, and depending on the size of your property, you might need to move it around your yard for full coverage.
In-ground sprinklers are flush with the ground when not in use but pop up above the ground level when it's time to water the lawn. Piping for these sprinklers is all found underground, and there are different types of sprinkler heads for different uses and lawn sizes.
Drip irrigation involves drip lines that are more efficient than sprinklers for more extensive lawns. This involves a lot of digging since they are installed underground, but it makes it easy for you to mow.
Rainwater collection and irrigation uses nature’s precipitation to water your lawn. This option might not be available in every area since semi-reliable rainfall is needed, though the barrels for this system can range from 15 gallons to 10,000 gallons or more.
The cost of a lawn sprinkler system is $2,550 for the average homeowner. However, this price can range from $350 to $5,000 or more, depending on the type of sprinkler system you install, the size of your yard, and the type of sprinkler heads you choose. For example, rotating or oscillating sprinkler heads are more expensive than stationary ones, making the cost for one sprinkler head $2.50 to $30 each. Likewise, a yard that is 1/4 of an acre in size averages a total average price of $2,460; however, a one-acre yard averages a cost of $9,840.
Landscaping costs around $3,500 but varies widely from $200 to $14,000. Factors that play a part in your final landscaping price tag include:
Location
Yard size
Project size
Materials
Land preparation
Type of landscaping
Considering so many factors, it’s not surprising that the overall costs can differ. A typical landscaping project is flower bed installation, which averages between $800 and $3,000. However, landscape lighting installation is a higher-end project, with a price tag of $2,000 to $6,000.
