"Needed to have all my hardwired carbon monoxide & smoke detectors replaced. Monthly Upkeep called me and gave me an estimate and came out the next day & installed all my new detectors. It went very well, and I am happy with all my new detectors."

"I recently hired Andrea from CCC Electric to help with some wiring upgrades in my home, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, their professionalism and expertise were exceptional. Andrea arrived right on time and immediately impressed me with their friendly demeanor and clear communication. They took the time to thoroughly assess the project and provided me with a detailed explanation of the work that needed to be done. Throughout the job, Andrea demonstrated an impressive attention to detail, ensuring that every wire was neatly organized and properly installed. They also went above and beyond to address any potential safety concerns, giving me peace of mind knowing that my home was in good hands. Not only did she complete the job within the agreed timeframe, but they also stayed within my budget without sacrificing quality. Their commitment to providing excellent service while respecting my financial constraints was truly commendable. Overall, I highly recommend CCC Electric to anyone in need of electrical services. Their professionalism, expertise, and dedication to customer satisfaction make them stand out as one of the best electricians I've ever worked with. I will definitely be calling them again for any future electrical needs."

"I bought the big deal because my mother in law had just made plans to move to North Carolina to a retirement community near her daughter. A week later she decided that she was not ready to make that move after all. Months later I did contact the company regarding my lack of need for moving services and they offered that they had a flooring business. We were unable to identify a desirable floor for my 8x8 bathroom that would not require a significant outlay above the value of the 2-$500 big deal vouchers. I was also unhappy about the proposed manner of installation (over existing marble vs removal)."

"The results are excellent. Both rooms look great with the outdated wallpaper removed and fresh colors applied. Considering both rooms are small, I thought the cost was pricey, but admit that I didn't get a second estimate. The hallway was an easier job, both in paper removal and painting. The bathroom was more difficult, that paper had been up for 25 years and was very stubborn. So, I couldn't have done the job myself, the results are great, and I'm glad I chose these painters."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Fan power is measured by CFM, or cubic feet per minute. For every 1,000 feet of square footage in your attic, you need a minimum of 700 CFM. Steeper roofs may need larger fans or about 840 CFM.  You can figure the size of attic fan you need by multiplying the square footage of your attic floor by 0.7. (multiply by 1.2 for a steep roof and 1.15 for a dark roof). That number is the CFM required for your fan to run efficiently.

Exhaust fans push air out of spaces, removing moisture, heat, odors, and pollutants. They vent air outside through ducts, preventing mold and improving air quality. Unlike ventilation fans, which circulate fresh air in and out, exhaust fans focus solely on expelling unwanted indoor air.

Stainless steel or aluminum fans are long-lasting and have less air resistance. They are best for outdoor use as their durability helps them withstand unpleasant weather conditions. Their heavy weight requires a stronger motor, which leads to more noise than other blade materials.

Wooden fan blades are a classic, durable option. They are much quieter than metal fans and feature a wide range of styles and finishes to choose from. However, they can be damaged by moisture if not covered with plastic.

Plastic fan blades are lightweight, easy to clean, and versatile. There are various shapes and styles to choose from as plastic is easily molded and dyed. They will also deteriorate slower than other materials as they aren’t as susceptible to humidity and moisture.

Once you remove all standing water and puddling, you should run fans for 24 to 48 hours to remove the remaining moisture. For severe water damage, it’s a good idea to run them for three to four days to be safe. Make sure you buy or rent the proper size and number of fans for your water-damaged area.

If your ceiling fan is humming, that's usually a sign of an electrical issue. A low-pitched grinding sound could be caused by the motor or a lack of lubrication in the bearings, but a true humming sound will be caused by a failing capacitor or faulty wiring. Unless you have experience with electrical issues, you should call a pro for any ceiling humming noises.
