"The owner came down to give us an estimate on what it would take to fix standing water issue in a house we were looking at purchasing. He performed a thorough inspection on what was causing the water to sit in the crawlspace and went over what would be required to keep the moisture and water from affecting the structural integrity of the house. "Contacted Ohio Basement Authority to diagnose the cause of mildew in the basement corner. Inspector Nick Hatfield was knowledgeable and professional. He informed me of water build-up around my foundation and recommended 3 solutions at different levels of effectiveness and price-points (1500 - 8700). Though I have not yet decided to have work done, I appreciate the information provided."

"We were really impressed by and grateful for how comprehensive the inspection was and how helpful his explanations were. He took multiple pictures and generated an elevation diagram. He did a great job explaining why the current sump pump was insufficient and what improvements should be made. He also walked around the exterior of the house to inspect it for any signs of foundation issues, and he spotted a tiny crack in the brick that was hard to see--that's how thorough he was!  He explained what we should be concerned about and what was due to normal aging.

When he finished his inspection, he set up a mobile office with a laptop and printer on the kitchen counter.  He was able to complete the report on the spot and provided the hard copy of his report before he left.

When there was an issue later down the road on where the window could be placed because we didn’t know where some of our lines were under ground be came back and reevaluated and came up with a plan. We had to change our entire floor plan for this window but it’s ok it wasn’t there fault it’s all going to work out in the end."
