"I was able to get the work scheduled quickly. The two workers were right on time. Good communication about what to expect. They did a great job sanding and painting exterior doors and trim. They had to move some items in the garage to get to the door, and put everything back just as it was. They cleaned up everything when finished. The workers were polite and respectful and kept me informed as they worked. Will definitely use Tri State again. Very happy with the quality work they performed."

"It went ok. They were fantastic at first. But the aftermath left unclean lines and we felt they got lazy at the end of the job. Not to mention rude by the end. We asked them to save pur front porch light, so they tossed it into our garage and broke it. The contractor suggested we close up a doorway from our laindry room to kitchen since it can be accessed from the 1/2 bath, this made for cabinet space in the kitchen. Then we all noticed that the washer and dryer would not fit through thr doorway left. He says" a good contractor would have notice that too" then charged us $550 to widen it.

"I needed some repairs done on a rental property and one of the companies I called was Jents.  He arrived early and was quick about quoting price after a walk-thru and explanation of desired repairs.  A time was agreed upon for starting work and Jent arrived promptly with 2 helpers and loads of tools. The work was all completed in a day. Overall, I was very pleased with the majority of the work and would definitely use this company again."

"We are very pleased with the work and would highly recommend this company to do work for you. Travis, the owner, is a responsible and hard working man. His assistant James worked hard along side of him. They arrived when they said they would and are going to have the project finished today."

"Matt, Justin, and Pino helped me with a move recently. These guys were terrific, and did an outstanding job moving a large entertainment center from my friend's house to mine, along with a couple of other medium-small sized furniture items. They showed up to my friend's house early, and called before they headed over there to make sure it was okay that they were early. They wrapped everything in blankets and nothing was damaged when it arrived! They also assembled the entertainment center for me, which was huge, and had quiet a few pieces and parts...and they did a great job putting it together. My friend who's house they moved the furniture from was also super impressed with these guys. They were very friendly and polite the entire time. They also didn't stray from the initial quote which was awesome. It's tough to find good movers, and these guys exceeded our expectations. I will definitely hire them in the future if I need movers again."

Pole Barn Builders questions, answered by experts

The foundation for a pole barn should be at least 36 inches thick to ensure that the piers won’t shift from frost heave.

American badgers sleep in the burrows they dig, which can be extensive, featuring multiple chambers and tunnels. Badgers prefer to excavate their dens in open grasslands, prairies, and fields where the soil is easy to dig. They are solitary animals and usually have several burrows within their territory to use as needed. These underground homes provide them with a safe and secure place to rest during the day and to raise their young.

The term “cottage” is subjective, so there’s no rigid definition, but it generally refers to a small home with simple and purposeful architecture that embraces nature and focuses on charm over everything else. Cottages are typically 1 or 1 1/2-stories tall, usually with gabled roofs, and are built out of natural materials that help make the structure a part of the surrounding nature rather than something that stands out from it. A big part of what makes a cottage a cottage is the decor, which includes natural materials from the nearby area.

The most common slope, or roof pitch, for a shed is 4:12 or four inches of height for every horizontal foot. For areas that experience heavy snow loads, a steeper roof of 6:12 or 9:12 is best.

Whether it is better to buy or build a chicken coop depends on your priorities, primarily cost versus time and effort. Building your own chicken coop can be significantly more budget-friendly, often costing about half as much as buying a pre-made one. If you have the time and skills, building a coop from scratch is the most economical option. However, if your time or skills are limited, buying a kit and hiring a handyperson to assemble it can be more cost-effective than hiring a carpenter to build a custom coop from scratch. If you want a perfectly constructed coop without sacrificing your own time and energy, buying one is the easiest choice.
