"I was able to get the work scheduled quickly. The two workers were right on time. Good communication about what to expect. They did a great job sanding and painting exterior doors and trim. They had to move some items in the garage to get to the door, and put everything back just as it was. They cleaned up everything when finished. The workers were polite and respectful and kept me informed as they worked. Will definitely use Tri State again. Very happy with the quality work they performed."

"James did an excellent job of consulting with us and defining the job.  He was fair in his pricing.  He set the right expectation on when he could start.  Once he started the work, there was a consistent flow of work with no long gaps.  He was able to build a bathroom with a shower, toilet, vanity and built in shelves, hallway, and redo existing walls by sanding, mudding and painting in less than 4 weeks.  James was very good about communication on what would be happening next or if there was a question or a needed change, discussing with us and keeping it moving forward.  James also made sure everyone on his team was prompt, did high quality work and cleaned up after their work was done.  This job exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend James!  I think we will be doing work with James again in the near future.

".  The job started out being many small jobs, and ended up being great.  He was very easy to work with, realized I knew what I was talking about.  I never got the idea he was trying to take my money without doing work.  They worked very hard, cleaned up after themselves, and probably added 15% to my overall home value.  I have many future jobs that need to be done, and will have Jent's Handyman Services work with me on all of them.  Every job was completed quickly, I feel my money was well spent, the materials used were of good enough quality without going over the top.  My home is much improved, and future finishing work to be done in the basement and the bathrooms and kitchen will definitely be handled by Jent's Handyman Service."

"We are very pleased with the work and would highly recommend this company to do work for you. Travis, the owner, is a responsible and hard working man. His assistant James worked hard along side of him. They arrived when they said they would and are going to have the project finished today."

"Matt, Justin, and Pino helped me with a move recently. These guys were terrific, and did an outstanding job moving a large entertainment center from my friend's house to mine, along with a couple of other medium-small sized furniture items. They showed up to my friend's house early, and called before they headed over there to make sure it was okay that they were early. They wrapped everything in blankets and nothing was damaged when it arrived! They also assembled the entertainment center for me, which was huge, and had quiet a few pieces and parts...and they did a great job putting it together. My friend who's house they moved the furniture from was also super impressed with these guys. They were very friendly and polite the entire time. They also didn't stray from the initial quote which was awesome. It's tough to find good movers, and these guys exceeded our expectations. I will definitely hire them in the future if I need movers again."

Pole Barn Builders questions, answered by experts

The timeline to build your barn will depend on the barn type and the company you hire. A pole barn may take six weeks or so, while a traditionally framed or steel-framed barn can take four months or longer. Building a barndominium takes the longest because you are essentially building a new home. You can expect barndominiums to take six months or longer to build.

You don’t typically need a permit to build a shed, but it’s best to check with your local city clerk to make sure before you start the project. Every town, city, and municipality can have different rules when it comes to any home improvement project. Homeowners associations sometimes have restrictions on the materials you can use on your property as well.

While building a treehouse isn’t necessarily a death sentence, damaging the trunk is one of the ways to kill a tree. If you’re concerned about the tree, opt for a treehouse support system rather than attaching it directly to the trunk. This may involve using bolts and brackets to affix the structure to the tree's branches or establishing a standalone support system that remains unattached to the tree.

Tiny houses, often called tiny homes, need between 100 to 400 square feet, with the most common size being between 200 and 300 square feet. Tiny houses more than 400 square feet venture into apartment-size dwellings and may be considered more of a traditional house than a tiny home. The number of occupants, desired lifestyle, and furniture will all be major factors that determine the desired tiny house size.

Adding an extension or addition to your home costs more than a loft conversion in all but the rarest cases where the home's structural integrity is lacking. Because a home addition requires a new foundation section or significant structural upgrades to handle a cantilevered portion, the cost compared to almost any loft conversion is significantly greater for the same square footage.
