"As a result of very good service and high quality windows, I recommended Mike Murnane to my father (a retired real estate Broker- Rolls Realty- who is about as frugal as they come); he'd been wanting to do something about his windows for years. His ranch was built in 1964, and he'd been looking for a window that would match perfectly with the honey-colored maple throughout the house. Dad had looked at Pella and Rosati, but hadn't found a good match in keeping with the Colonial style of the home, at a reasonable cost. It was a different line, but It was EXACTLY what Dad had been wanting- and after the job was completed, his visiting friends were not aware the windows had been replaced because they matched so perfectly. Dad ended up having exterior work ordered as well- he had gutters and gutter guards installed, and bought new shutters to replace the original wood ones. He was equally impressed with the people who came to install everything (this was a different team). They brought carpet protectors and drop cloths, and cleaned everything, leaving no trace that they'd been there. As a result, my sister and her husband ordered new windows, a new front door, and a rear sliding glass door replacement.

What I like most is the value and the price. Mike knows what types of products are appropriate for the style and price point of homes. What would be appropriate for a house in the $129,900 range is not the same as what clients would expect in a $250,000 home; and of course, a home in the luxury market demands something above and beyond. The bottom line is to get an energy efficient window to add value and beauty to ANY home. I believe Mike works to get you what you want at a price that is affordable. I don't detect any of that smooth talking, bait and switch nonsense with Mike. The people with whom Mike works do what they say they will do.
Many home owners are intimidated by such a big investment. We've noticed a big difference in how our house feels as the weather has changed. It's quieter. The temperature is more uniform throughout the house and we're more comfortable. We're saving money because everything is airtight. I feel confident recommending Mr. Murnane and the company for which he works.

"Straight up company did what they said and did it well. Scheduling was easy. Wish they came out to look at the job first though, because I had to take a day off only to find that I had to have some irrigation lines moved before they could do the install...so that was a wasted day. Once they came back (on the day they said, and right on time) they worked non-stop to complete the job. they put up plastic to keep the mess down in my basement. They cleaned the exterior walls where the masonry saw threw some block dust on my siding. they backfilled the hole well and really tried to clean up the area well, building up a nice slope to the well and spreading the soil neatly. They took pictures of the job so they want it all to look good. The caulking they use around the window took a long time to cure (perhaps because the temperature was in the 40's -50's) so be careful about that. If they had gotten the well another 1/2 inch deeper the well cover mounting flange would have fit under the edge of the siding on the wall. I wish they had checked for that. Instead they just mounted it on top of the siding and caulked it. I don't think that the 2 screws they mounted it with are biting really well either. This is my only real complaint. Everything else was great!"

"This sliding glass door install converted a small window space and partially in-ground wall space to a larger sliding glass door leading to an in-process, recessed concrete patio. It was very complicated working with two other contractors to get this job done. Freedom Windows went above and beyond to keep us as warm as possible when unseen circumstances (not on their part) prevented the door install for an entire week after the hole was cut (in December). I'm very happy with their helpfulness and positivity while working with us and the other contractors."

The glass manufacturer sent the wrong size glass which he did not realize until he took out the first window, so I now have a temporarily taped window until the right sized one comes in. He measured the rest though and the installation was quick and VERY clean. They will be hired again to redo the other window."

"Windows are good. Work was sloppy. Still finding shards of glass on the floor and the furniture a week after completion. Caulking looks like a third grader did it- including caulking the screen door to the frame. For this type of investment, they should act like professionals."
