He informed us the foundation was failing and explained what needed to be done. He throughly explained everything and told us how we could do it ourselves for much cheaper than a contractor could do it. "We plugged in a vacuum cleaner and the outlet sparked and blew out. The house had a burn smell to it so we called Hilscher Clarke for an after-hours review. The electrician arrived after 9 p.m. We had to pay an after hours fee and were willing to do so to ensure we didn't have a burning wire or insulation - were safe in the house. The electrician took the outlet apart, replaced it, and inspected the other outlets around it."
