We called EverDry and they promptly sent our a representative who laid out a clear plan with cost. It was during the colder weather and he gave us a better price to keep his men busy. They worked efficiently and dug out around the exterior and tarred the walls. Inside, they broke through the floor around the perimeter to lay new lines and moved the sump pump to a further corner of the basement and neatly covered the old hole. It was a messy job that my wife and I feared would never get cleaned up. How wrong we were. They removed all of the concrete debris and when they were finished, our basement was as clean as it had been before the work started. Remarkable! "Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value I took multiple bids on my basement project across basement companies in Columbus. Mid state basement systems had the best and most fair pricing. They did not use any scare tactics and were upfront and honest. They were also the only company to use a laser level and show me the sag difference in my joists that I was experiencing. I hired mid-state basement systems to do crawl space support and repair on my load bearing wall in my basement. MY PROBLEM WAS UNIQUE AS LOAD BEARING WALLS NORMALLY DO NOT NEED TO BE REPAIRED LIKE THIS! At first, it was not level upon completion (BARELY 1/8 INCH OFF) in ONE spot and I let my sales rep Jiovanni know. the team came back out within 48 hrs and adjusted everything and let me take a look at it. They did a fantastic job. The installation crew even wiped down my floors for me after they were done! They were so polite, and respectful and made sure there was no damage to anything as they were moving steel beams to my basement ( my fridge was an object in the way to the basement door ) Do not let competitors make you question the validity of this business. they were fantastic. Rating of sales 5/5 Rating of the installation crew 5/5 Rating of management 5/5 Rating of mid-state as a company : 10/5 I do not believe I would have received this level of responsiveness of any of the competitors. "Once the new line was installed I noticed a few issues with the drainage flow.  I emailed Bob Ewing (the owner) regarding the issues I was having.  He was very cooperative and understanding and told me they would "do whatever it took" to correct the situation.  After scheduling them to come look at the job they completely re-worked the line to flow properly.  I was very impressed with the integrity of the company as a whole.  They acknowledged the error and corrected it at absolutely no cost to me and actually improved the system so it worked even better than initially planned.
The crew that came out was professional and courteous.  They removed their shoes before entering the house and cleaned up everything after they were done.   Dirt was raked and mounded and everything was cleaned up before they left.  The backhoe operator was quick and accurate and the other employee's were energetic and worked hard to get the job done quick and accurate.  I was quite impressed with this crew.
I would highly recommend E&K for your excavation and sewer line repairs.  If you want a company that will stand behind it's work and believes in customer satisfaction you have the right contractor.  I personally put more emphasis on companies that will "do whatever it takes" to make a customer happy and do the job right than companies that undercut their competitors but don't stand behind there work.  I also like to deal with companies that will respond in a timely manner when called or emailed after there are issues and not just when selling a job.  Bob always replied to my emails within one work day.  This says a lot about their commitment to their customers.
