"My moved went as planned. The D & R Movers team I had where very professional, they protected my new floors, hand rails, and door jams right before they started working. They had a whole bunch off furniture blankets, they put furniture blankets on all my furniture then carried it to the truck. They didn't remove the furniture blankets from my furniture until we got to my new house in West Chester. I recommend D & R Movers to anyone needing to get a Professional Mover."

It has been said that the three most stressful things in life are dealing with a divorce, a death, or a move. We believe it is our job to take each customers situation and tailor our service based on what they need at that time. We have grown because of our willingness to please the customer is not limited to our office hours, or the amount of money the customer has to spend. It is not at all uncommon for us to hold a check for a customer, or start a move at a time that is convenient for the customer, but at a time that will have us working untill midnight; at no extra cost to the customer. Now that we have dozens of employees and do hundreds of moves a year, most of which are routine, it has become my job to handle the details that truly make us a service company. "At first i was greatly disappointed. Very unprofessional- bait and switch. Was quoted around 500-515 dollars by a lady in the corporate office so I went forward with them. Little did I know on the front end there was some hidden fees. They charge you 100 dollars extra for gas, even though our move was 5 minutes away...that's absurd. Also they charge you extra for furniture pads and saran wrap. But wait there is more! They broke our ping pong table and never filled out the paper work like they said they would! I had to contact them and the owner was unaware of the ping pong table being broken. They also never contacted me until 4 days later and quoted me 790 dollars, 270-290 dollars higher than I was quoted JR the Owner made it right and took off 50 dollars for gas and didn't charge us for the furniture pads and saran wrap as long as we didn't file a claim for the ping pong table. I added a star because JR is a reasonable man and owner but the way they do business is sub par. Also their movers are good people and they work hard but didn't tell their owner of the damaged item. Overall they have a few things to fix before I would call them again."

"Elam & Son's were actually recommended to me by another Piano Moving company in the Cincinnati area that came out to my home but were ultimately unable to help me! I needed help moving the a 500+lb Stairmaster machine up a flight of stairs into my second story condo. The machine was extremely bulky and awkwardly shaped, making it very difficult to move/lift even with tools (so much so that the first company I tried before E&S came and left!). But Elam & Son's were able to squeeze me in within a couple of days of my call, they were reasonably priced (I know because I got a couple other quotes from other piano/organ moving companies before my appointment and E&S's pricing was better), and they were able to get the machine where it needed to be in my home within an hour! I was nervous at first because only three men showed up with straps and some tools (same as the first company that came & left), so I didn't know if they'd be able to help me either. But these guys were SO great! They had to remove two of my doors and part of the Stairmaster machine itself to fit it in my guest room without any damage, but they put everything nicely back together and now I can use the machine in my home! Not sure if these guys are part hulk/superhero or something, but they're seriously impressive! Lol. Very grateful to them--highly recommend! :)"

Their rates were reasonable. I had 1 online estimate for almost $500, and a verbal phone estimate for about $400. The owner was very professional and friendly. His experience was evident. The original owner of the piane reported to me that they were in/out of her condo in record time and raved about what a great job they did. On the way to deliver, they were running behind and kept in contact to let me know when they would be there. They were very timely!
