"Rodney was a very professional , neat plumber. He came in and was very friendly and went straight to work. He explained what the problem was and then fixed my plumbing problem. He is great to deal with. I had called other plumbers but they wanted me to wait until Monday and with a leak I didn't want to wait three days I called Rodney and he squeezed me in and at no extra charge. His rates were very reasonable. He is very knowledgeable. Thank you Rodney for coming out on such short notice. Jan Dean"

"He came he looked around. He knew exactly what was going on. He came back with the right equipment and he fixed the job that he guaranteed he could do and he did what no other plumber that I had out here was able to get the job done and I had three other plumbers that was not able to get the job done like he did. He was able to get the job done in a few hours. He was very professional very nice courteous and I highly recommend him and if I ever have any more plumbing backup or any issues, I would definitely definitely hire him again and I would definitely recommend him to all my family and friends because he is the guy who promises and guarantees and he carries out his promises and he works with you❣️❣️"

"If you want to hear about a professional, efficient, and honest small business, read on. I had a clogged sewer line. Several plumbers tried diagnosing the problem but none really had a good solution- snake augurs and sewer cameras were parading through my home. It ultimately was determined that I needed to replace the sewer line. I got quotes from the 3 or 4 plumbers I saw, and also called Getz. I'm glad I did. Justin and his crew were professional, capable, and they bid significantly lower than everyone else. I had a higher degree of confidence in them not only because they're building a new business and need to make a name for themselves, but also because they don't use the same corporate sales tactics to pay someone large commissions when they think they have me by the balls. These guys were honest, they didn't try to upsell me, and they saved me money by telling me some of the services others recommended were not appropriate or useful for my case. They"

A faucet replacement vs. a failed waste line flooding a finished basement would be at opposite ends of a very broad spectrum. "A plumbing repair" could range from perhaps a $150 minimum service charge up to tens of thousands of dollars for a substantial repair and associated cleanup, finish work, etc.

Helpful?

In Cincinnati, homeowners often overlook the need for plumbing permits, underestimate the impact of winter freezes on pipes, or ignore signs of corrosion in older plumbing systems. Attempting DIY repairs on complex issues or hiring contractors unfamiliar with Cincinnati’s unique infrastructure can lead to code violations, drainage problems, and unexpected repairs, making it essential to plan carefully and hire local experts.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Cincinnati should consider the city’s frequent freeze-thaw cycles, which can cause pipe bursts, and the risk of basement flooding due to heavy rainfall and aging sewer systems. Many homes have older clay or cast iron pipes, and some still use lead service lines. Planning for proper pipe insulation, sump pump installation, and compliance with Cincinnati’s plumbing codes is crucial for long-term protection.

Helpful?

Professionals in Cincinnati prioritize drain cleaning based on severity. A raw sewage backup or multiple blocked drains requires an immediate response. A single clogged toilet or a complete kitchen sink blockage is a high priority, addressed within 24-48 hours. Slow drains or gurgling sounds are medium-priority issues that can be scheduled for service within a week to prevent bigger problems.

Helpful?

For minor clogs, you can safely use a plunger or a 25-foot manual drain snake. A mixture of baking soda and vinegar is a great alternative to harsh chemicals, which can damage the older clay pipes found in many Cincinnati homes. Flushing the drain with hot water and dish soap can also help dissolve grease buildup common in kitchen sink lines.
