"The entire experience I had with Window Expo from beginning to end was wonderful. Everyone was so nice and professional. Steven was the lead installer and did a wonderful job. The windows and doors installed are beautiful and I love them. Everyone who have seen them stated they look awesome. I would definitely do business with this company again and provide their info to family and friends. The price was reasonable too. Love my new windows and doors. Awesome job Window Expo."

"We sure got lucky to find Paul from Home Improvement and Remodeling. He arrived to the second of the time he would start not a minute before or after. His attention to detail is quite remarkable,I can honestly say he strives for perfection. I will use this company again, he is our go to from now on. Wonderful work and reasonably priced."

"There are a lot of window/door companies, but Stanek in my opinion has the most understanding consultant that listens to your needs or wants and then lays out a program that will fit your needs. The product is outstanding and very well made."

"Chris was my installer for my windows and doors. He single handily installed all 15 windows and 2 doors by himself kudos to him…I know he had problems removing the old windows and doors especially the back door because of previously poor installation. He got it completed in 3 days and it makes me happy to know that an honest hardworking person works for Joyce and care about their customers. We will be doing more business with them. Can’t wait for the siding to be completed."

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

Window screens are available in several standard sizes. Common dimensions include 24 to 36 inches wide by 36 to 48 inches tall, as well as sizes like 18 by 14 inches and 20 by 20 inches. These often correspond to standard window sizes, such as 2 feet wide by 3 feet tall or 4 feet wide by 6 feet tall. Screens are also sold in replacement rolls to accommodate various dimensions. It is always best to measure your windows for accuracy before a repair or replacement. If your windows are a non-standard size, you will likely need to order custom screens, which can increase the cost. However, a screen does not necessarily have to fit the entire window, so you may be able to use a standard-size screen even if your window is slightly larger.

Common problems include leaks, broken glass, and damaged frames. Regular maintenance prevents extensive damage.

Most window screens in residential homes are designed to be removed from the inside, especially with double-hung, single-hung, and casement styles. That said, some setups require exterior removal. Older homes or custom installs may have exterior clips or brackets, and sunscreens are almost always mounted on the outside. Before removing your window screen, look at how it is held in place.

While the telltale signs can vary for different types of screen doors, it may be time to learn how to install a screen door if you're noticing rotting, warping, or splintering accompanying the sagging. If you’re unsure whether to replace a sagging screen door, consult a local screen door pro for an inspection and final decision.

Professionals clean window screens the same way a homeowner can—by removing the screens and cleaning them with a sponge. A window cleaning pro may come with better equipment, like a high powered wet/dry vacuum or pressure washer to speed up the process and achieve a deeper clean.
