"Everything is on hold because our house is not level. They gave us a price and said it would level our home and it didn’t so they want more money to finish leveling.. waiting for them to come out and look at what is going on."

"We were really impressed by and grateful for how comprehensive the inspection was and how helpful his explanations were. He took multiple pictures and generated an elevation diagram. He did a great job explaining why the current sump pump was insufficient and what improvements should be made. He also walked around the exterior of the house to inspect it for any signs of foundation issues, and he spotted a tiny crack in the brick that was hard to see--that's how thorough he was!  He explained what we should be concerned about and what was due to normal aging.

When he finished his inspection, he set up a mobile office with a laptop and printer on the kitchen counter.  He was able to complete the report on the spot and provided the hard copy of his report before he left.

He was punctual, thorough, polite, and trustworthy.  We feel confident moving forward with the home purchase, and we would definitely hire him and The Basement Doctor to perform any of the suggested upgrades.  "

"Had Betts Structural Engineering come and look at the foundation of a house we were in contract on. Josh came out and was professional and informative. He informed us the foundation was failing and explained what needed to be done. He throughly explained everything and told us how we could do it ourselves for much cheaper than a contractor could do it. In the end he saved us from a long and expensive process if we proceeded with the house."

"I couldn’t have asked for a better customer experience. Mark and his team came through for us in a big way. They were professional, extremely knowledgeable, and made us feel like we were the only customer - rarely do you have something go according to plan and completed on time. Stay Dry Waterproofing kept us updated on progress the whole time and completed the work way before we ever thought it could be done. I will be recommending this company to any friends who have water drainage/ foundational issues, whether it’s their primary residence or real estate investment property!"

Ron's range of experience in the waterproofing industry spans almost three decades. A Dayton resident since 1991, the Cleveland native began his foray into waterproofing and concrete in 1996. As a laborer, Ron quickly learned the ins and outs of the waterproofing business, including new construction waterproofing systems and concrete structural repair options available to stabilize home foundations. Ron expanded his knowledge to commercial high-rise buildings, eventually overseeing large crews building hotels in Columbus and other major cities throughout the tri-state area. Ron "hits on all cylinders." Not only does he know everything about the waterproofing and concrete processes, but he also understands each facet of running a business. From laborer to production manager to VP of operations, Ron has done it all. He is also personable and reliable, traits highly valued by his customers. Ron's consummate professionalism has earned the trust of many local REALTORS, engineers, homeowners, and property management companies.\n\nRon and Jennifer, his wife of 26 years, have strong roots in the community. Three of their four grown sons live in Miamisburg. The couple enjoys spending quality time with their granddaughter and four grandsons. When Ron can be pulled away from work (his first love), he can often be found camping or fishing on summer weekends. He's also an avid league bowler. He is quick to point out, however, that he is always available to answer a call about a leaky basement!

"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Charges correlate with surface size, settlement depth, and access, often yielding significant savings over concrete replacement.

Polyjacking can be a permanent solution to sunken concrete if you also address the underlying issue—like poor drainage—at the same time. The polyurethane material itself can last as long as or even outlast the concrete you’re lifting it with. Your sunken concrete issue will likely return if you don’t couple polyjacking with proper drainage to prevent future soil movement and sinking.

Concrete leveling is absolutely worth it if you have sunken concrete slabs and want to restore them to level, especially if the slab is part of your home foundation. Concrete leveling is less than half the price of replacing concrete sidewalks, patios, walkways, and pool decks, and it’s about a quarter of the cost of replacing a foundation. If you also treat the underlying problem, it can be a worthwhile and permanent solution.

A good slump height really depends on the project, but there is a use for nearly all slump levels. For example, low slumps are best in projects that require structure, such as curbs and roads. High slumps often require additional reinforcement, but they flow more freely into hard-to-reach spaces.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.
