We've lived in this (55 year old) house for the past 12 years, and we've always had to deal with a periodic water problem in the basement. and wet weather exacerbates the problem. A few months ago things became much worse when our poured cement foundation developed three leaks, allowing water to flow freely into the basement. I called in four or five contractors to recommend a solution, and I was most impressed by Adirondack's analysis, which actually called for less work than most of the others (and of course, less money). The other contractors all insisted that a floortile system be installed to direct water into a new sump system, but Adirondack felt that our existing French drain would serve that purpose. They installed their "Super Sump" system, piped outdoors into a bubble pot. Repairing the wall cracks wasn't possible due to the deteriorated condition of the cement, so they recommended BrightWall panels, which served two purposes: they cover the ugly walls (and brighten the basement) and force any leaking water directly below into the French drain.  I've deliberately waited until now (six weeks later) to write this review because I wanted to get an idea of how their system would work. I'm happy to say that the system has worked beautifully.

"Dave came in and created a new, ADA compliant (for my wife), small bathroom layout that solved a host of issues including a larger shower footprint. After seeing how well the larger shower fit, we decided to continue with all new fixtures, beadboard sheathing, crown molding, new window, and LVP flooring (see attached New Bath pics). No chasing subcontractors, it was all Dave. He also increased the water flow in the kitchen and bathroom by tuning the water pump, implementing a new crawl space plumbing design, and increased the water intake out in the lake. He offered the opportunity of re-locating the hot water heater out of the crawlspace where the old one had rusted and increasing the HW capacity. We couldn’t say yes fast enough. All of this and not one leak! Dave also identified and corrected several issues with our electrical panel when he was installing the water heater and baseboard heat. I don't often write reviews, but we were just so impressed with Dave. We were incredibly happy with his work, but what we were most impressed with was how quickly he responded and followed up with us, how competitively priced he was, and how professional and friendly he was. He listened to what we wanted, he researched requests, made recommendations, and selected quality products for our changes. We made incremental changes after we started that added to the project scope but he always sent us an estimate for those changes via email beforehand so we could formally agree or contact him to discuss any questions or changes that we had. He takes a lot of pride in his work and wants to make sure he provides you with what you want. I wish all contractors did business like this!"

"5 STARS all the way! I am so pleased and so ready to say -- this firm,,,2 individuals were awesome! Personally I achieved OVER 38 years as a Supervisor& Manager in call centers. I believe that I recognize what customer service is. They not only met my expectations, they exceeded them. I contacted them and we met soon after on a day and time .... after I got home from work. They came out to view and measure what I wanted done. They listened and provided guidance and direction, all if an effort to realize a successful job. They left and by that evening sent me an estimate. I confirmed. They came over with paperwork to solidify the job.. My vanity counter in the bathroom --- i wanted to replace. They purchased all the materials at Home Depot. In the store as well as when the brought the counter top here, There was a HAIR LINE crack that went from the faucet hole to the basin. They called me in and asked if I saw a crack in the piece, NO i saw no crack .. He used light beam and scanned the vanity top, There was a HAIR LINE approx 8". inches long. Unbelievable. Returning to H.D. they got another. Look at it and it looked fine. When they went to take it out of the box, the packaging foam was stuck to a corner, Took a dollar coin piece out!! They knew that this H.D. had no more in stock. They found one at another H.D. They went there to retrieve it. Once back - job was completed. They were very timely .. when they said they would be here, they were. They took all the material and old pieces out. I had a dumpster at my complex. All done. When you make your phone call and they are on the list...make them your FIRST call. You will find that no others need to be contacted. NOTE: they called me the next day to inquire if I had any issues! NO, I had none."

I was not happy that they did not drain any water from the old tank, I believe that once they determined that they could not empty the water anywhere in the basement except outside they just left it. I am in my seventies and I had to do it the next day so I could move the tank."
