"Way beyond my expectations! Professional on every level from covering their shoes every time they went in and out, thorough problem investigation, courteous and great explanations throughout the process, reasonable and fair prices, solid install and equipment. What's more, even long after I paid in full, they continued to go to bat for me with National Grid who identified a problem on their end and promised repeatedly to fix it but as of this comment, has not yet done so. 6 stars for Mr. Electric if I could!"

Nest Installation FAQs, answered by experts

Bed bugs do not always go away after one treatment. A small case may be a one-and-done deal, but many infestations need about two to four visits within about six weeks to fully eradicate the pests in your home. It’s critical to stick to your treatment plan to ensure any existing eggs don’t hatch and create a new infestation.

Squash bugs don’t bite humans or pets. Their piercing-sucking mouthparts are designed specifically for feeding on plants, not people. While they can be a major nuisance in the garden, they pose no direct physical threat to you, and you don’t need to worry about bites, stings, or venom from these pests.

You should never block both the top and bottom of your chimney. Proper airflow is essential because the temperature inside the chimney will still fluctuate as your house warms and cools. Moisture can build up without ventilation, leading to dampness in your walls over time. Blocking the top prevents debris and animals from entering, but the chimney still needs air circulation to avoid condensation issues. Allowing the chimney to breathe maintains the health of your home and prevents long-term damage.

Not necessarily. If you see a swarm of flying insects, it could be flying ants or termites, but not always both. However, since these winged pests are attracted to moist and rotting wood, there’s a chance that both species are present at the same time.

No; ticks rarely infest buildings. They prefer to stay outdoors waiting for a potential host to pass by. However, while ticks do not infest beds, they can get indoors by attaching themselves to pets, clothing, or outdoor gear. A live tick may survive in your bed for around 24 hours, but it certainly won’t breed or start an infestation.
